Great Drafting Stool
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked the fact this stool is not cumbersome. No five legs, no wheels, no back support, just the round seat with three legs.Very easy to put together, comes with all parts and tools so you don't need anything else, seems to be very well made, we'll see how long it lasts. Very east to adjust up and down by rotating the seat. The adjusting metal screw appears to be very strong, no worries here. Once you buy a round snug cushion (available at Amazon) it is very comfortable. The design is great, as I mentioned it is very unobtrusive, easy to get on and easy to get off, excellent rotation. Very light and you can easily place it under the the table. If you will be drafting all day long then I recommend you get a high chair with all the bells and whistles. This stool is convenient for quick projects or if you need to be on and off constantly.I recommend it.

Great purchase
I Love this stool so much I purchased two of them. Easy to assemble and sturdy. Love the adjustable height. Tucks out of the way when not in use. A little pricey for a stool, but my happiness is worth it. I say, “Buy, buy, buy”😊

CHEAP MATERIAL , LASTED 2 months
Easy to assemble, but because of the narrow width of the legs it will probably not support someone heavier. I’m 175 lbs , fit but feel it will break soon. The top of the chair scratched already from just assembling process. It looks really nice but the narrow base makes you at risk of tipping over. It’s really smaller than what you see in the pictureUPDATE:My employee weighing a measly 95 lbs just told me the stool broke. As the pictures show nothing is holding in the screw except a thin layer of laninated wood , it looks good on the picture but in actuality it’s a small cheap crappy piece of furniture that looks like it belongs in a playhouseDO NOT BUY

Glad I have it.
So practical and strong. Fits, adjusts, and is great to sit at the easel.

Wood Laminate, NOT Wood +
I was expecting natural wood per marketing of this product. It's wood laminate, NOT wood. It looks nice, though. Beautiful design but, as others have pointed out, not sturdy at all (even when at low setting). Definitely cannot use on the flattest carpet even. (Wobbly even on hard floor.) And it swivels by itself when you're on it. There's no mechanism to lock it in place so that it doesn't move when you're sitting on it.

Stable and adjustable!
Also for my Grandson to use for his art. Very nice stool. Adjustable.

Great if you want to tip over
This stool is as advertised, but I'm not in love with it. It was fairly simple to put together, but it's not super sturdy. Even sitting on flat ground feels risky because it only has 3 legs so it's easy to tip over. Overall, it's ok for the price, but I wouldn't buy this again.

Great stool w/lifetime warranty and great customer service
First semi-comfortable seat I could find for drafting, or for doing almost anything else from a sitting position, since it's flat, sturdy, and height-adjustable.The first one started wobbling after about a year of daily use. The wobbling began where the central metal rod had been fused to the circular metal plate as one piece.Fortunately--after I'd gotten another of these stools in the beech color and then read the enclosed Meeden product warranty--their customer service team responded to my e-mail within a few days. The agent was friendly and accommodating, offering a whole new stool when the replacement part I'd needed wasn't available. It came within a week of my confirming that I wanted it.The photos show the broken walnut stool being used as a coffee table and footrest (not sure if I'll end up keeping it for that or not), the newer beech stool, and the replacement walnut stool with the lifetime warranty.I wish there were also a version of this with height-adjustable armrests and a 90-degree, upright backrest. This minimal stool is useful for many things, though, and can fit into narrow spaces thanks to the tripod-style legs.
