Lifestyle Solutions Harrington Sofa in Grey, Dark Grey

I live in a household with four kids under 10, five dogs, and three cats. Furniture simply doesn’t last for me. Couches last roughly two years before they are stained and smell horrible. Knowing this, and with the expenses related to the upcoming holiday season, I was not ready to go out and spend another $2k on a set of couches.I found this couch on Amazon and honestly wasn’t expecting much at all. After a discussion with my wife, we decided to give this couch a shot because we figured if it at least lasted us until the new year (three months), it would be worth it.The couch arrived within a week and was delivered by UPS. When we first saw the box sitting on our front porch, we were a little worried that this thing was going to be incredibly small.We took the 100lb box into our living room and opened it up. We were both immediately impressed of how they fit all the pieces of the couch in the small box. Additionally, everything was wrapped and well protected.Assembling the couch was straight forward. No tools were required, but it did take two people to put the couch together. I suppose one person could put it together, but two people will make the assembly process a lot easier, and sturdier. Assembly took about ten minutes.The first impressions of the couch were very positive. The couch was bigger then the box suggested (it’s still relatively small), the microfiber feels a lot better than what we were expecting, and the overall appearance of the couch makes it look like it cost a lot more than what we paid for it.One of the biggest surprises with this couch is the fact that the back fabric and the fabric on the bottom of the couch are secured by velcro and not staples. Unless you have messy people living in your house, you won’t understand how big of a deal this is. If the black fabric on the bottom is stapled, it is impossible to ever get all the crumbs, crayons, and other nasty garbage out of the couch that finds its way down there without ripping away the fabric. The cushions are all attached to the couch, but stuff can still fall down between the back of the couch and the bottom cushions.The couch is also relatively light and slides easily on laminate flooring. Compared to heavier couches, this makes cleaning under the couch super easy. Now instead of only moving the couch once a month to clean under it, we move it every time we clean the living room.As for how comfy the couch is, it is a bit firm, but I enjoy it. The arms of the couch do not have much padding, so a couple throw pillows will help out immensely. I am 6’1”, 165 lbs and have not problem laying on the couch. As such, it is the perfect size for me, my kids, or pets.If there is one problem with this couch, it would be that it is anything but “dark grey” on color. Honestly, after a month I still don’t know how to describe the color. It’s more of a blue, or perhaps green, depending on the light. It didn’t match the dark grey laminate flooring, but we have grown to actually like the color.In conclusion, we weren’t expecting much. We were very surprised with the quality of the couch and are in the process of acquiring the matching chairs and loveseat. For less than the price of one traditional sofa, we will have a complete living room seat. It’s amazing, actually. The only thing that would make the Harrington collection better is if they made matching ottomans for the chairs.6 MONTH UPDATE; The kids have stained the couch with an assortment of nasty stains, but the couch itself is still holding together as good as the day we put it together. This is really something considering I have a three year old and a four year old that are constantly jumping on it. While there are stains, there are no rips in the fabric. Really impressed with this thing.

This thing is tiny. I was expecting a 3 seat sofa but it is so small you would conider it a 2 seat love seat. I am 5"10 and I barely stretch out across it with my feet hanging off the end. But the length isn't what bothers me. It's the depth. It is so shallow that my bumbum partly hangs off of it when sitting on it. The small sofa I replaced had room to lay across it and was deep enough that i could have my lap desk in my lap. This one is not even close to deep enough.So the size is a deal breaker but I am not packing it up and sending it back. I will just give it to my elderly father for in his bedroom.The quality is good and it feels sturdy though the way all the pieces attach is suspicious at best. I hope it holds up.If you are a small person or only plan to have maybe 2 people sit on it, It will get the job done. It looks nice and it came in excellent condition. No damage or tears. Assembly took 5-10 min at most with 2 people. I do like it. I wish it was bigger.

We love it. Yes it may be to firm for some. But we are heavier people so ... Holds up very well. This is our 2nd one we've bought. One for me one for my son. LOVE the fact u can take apart!! Makes it SOOO easy when moving/relocating. Could be a lil cheaper tho. Should be 250ish. As much as we like it , it's not a luxurious couch.

SI FUERA A ESCRIBIR UNA RESEÑA DE ESTE ARTÍCULO Y LA MALA ATENCIÓN DE AMAZON REFERENTE AL MISMO ESTARÍA TRES HORAS ESCRIBIENDO RESUMIRÉ EN POCAS PALABRAS, ANTES Q TODO JAMÁS ES EL SOFÁ DE LA FOTO, SIEMPRE TE ENVÍAN UNO DE DOS PIEZAS SIN ADORNO Y CABE ACLARAR ( DURO COMO MADERA)CUANDO UPS LO DEJA ( Q DEBE TENER INSTRUCIONES DE AMAZON COMO VENDEDOR ) LO DEJA FUERA DE TU CASA Y TIENES Q CARGARLO HASTA DONDE NECESITES, DESDE EL 2 DE JULIO ESTOY TRATANDO DE COMPRAR UN SOFÁ EN AMAZON EL PRIMERO EL VENDEDOR JAMÁS RESPONDIÓ DESPUÉS DE ESPERAR UN MES ENTERO AMAZON ME DIÒ UN CRÉDITO ( ningún crédito era mi mismo dinero del sofá q nunca llegó)Tuve q invertir 100 dólares más en comprar otro diferente , servicio al cliente me recomendó q lo hiciera atraves de Amazon como vendedor para así poderme garantizar si existía alguna situación pues bien supuestamente compré este sofá Q JAMÁS LLEGÓ EL Q ERA O EL DE LA FOTO , pesa 92 libras según la caja nose cuantas veces tuve q cargar para dentro y hacia afuera esta cosa q no es el de la foto ( horrible ) me decían q el próximo q me mandarían sería el de la foto NUNCA LLEGÓ EL DE LA FOTO a esto súmale llamar todos los días a Amazon una y otra vez , el último día después de estar 1:40 minutos con servicio al cliente le dije por favor ponme a un supervisor ( este tampoco pudo resolver todo el problema) finalmente me escalaron la situación y me pusieron a alguien superior q me dijo no hay problema esto no hay ni q hablarlo has aguantado demasiado te haré la devolución en tu método inicial de pago ( mi tarjeta de débito ) pues JAMÁS fuè así me puso una parte en la cuenta de Amazon ( la q me habían dado como crédito al NUNCA RECIBIR EL PRIMER SOFÁ Q NO ERA VENDIDO POR AMAZON ) y la otra a mi tarjeta de débito q aun lo estoy esperando y me dijo no regreses el sofá para q no tengas q volver a cargarlo has lo q quieras con el ( ES LO MENOS Q AMAZON PUEDE HACER POR CONSIDERACIÓN ) y resulta q hoy me llega un email de Amazon para q el día 26 ponga el sofá otra vez en el portal MIRA !!!! I ordered the dark grey, but it is not dark gray. It’s a blue with a gray tint. Like a dark turquoise. And since I ordered it specifically in color to match my home and it’s too much of a hassle to return it, that’s why I gave it 3 stars. Otherwise, I love this couch. Assembly is easy and it’s extremely comfortable- firm in the right places.
