Does a great job at stray light pollution.
I used this filter with my DSLR into my telescope to shoot images of Orion. I used it over two nights. Night one I attempted with a CCD, but failed so I defaulted to the dslr. Dismal results are the best I can say. Night 2 was so much better. I did finally manage to get it focused. The results were not shabby for two minute exposures of Orion. Regardless, it must be noted that live view did not work for me. The filter is very dark. And of course using it on a color chip did not help achieve the image I was looking for. I will attempt with the monochrome ccd next. Attempting focus on the brightest star I can find. My goal is to obtain Ha images that I can merge with color.

Helps in light polluted city
Does the job of filtering out the city lights as best can be expected in these days of city lights. Threads easily into the eyepiece and is solid. Expect to loose a magnitude when using, it does help
