Q: I have narrow feet with a high instep , would these be suitable for me

You can adjust all of the straps. I have wide feet so I've found them very comfortable indeed.

Q: What is the sole made of - I have very hot feet and if the sole under my feet is rubber will they be slippery?

This is my second pair of these sandals, the soles are definately not slippery and they have a very good grip.

Q: Is there a difference between the mens and womens versions?

I have found that the size that I take in ladies shoes: i.e. Size 6 is perfect in the Kahuna sandal men's or ladies.I find them extremely comfortable.

Q: Is the sole flat inside or shaped to provide support? I have a very old pair of merrels and cant find anything like them now! Thank you

It is shaped to provide support as you can see in the picture - but the area in the foot arch is not built up.
