This is the original kit cat clock. It is larger than the Kitty cat clock.

Q: How large is the opening in the back - could I use an adhesive hook or is it just wide enough to hang with a nail?

It is a small hole, ideally a screw or a nail will fit, not the larger self adhesive hook.
