Much more sturdy than my previous one
It was a little fiddly to install but got there in the end. The design is much better than my previous one, more robust and attaching the pulled out end is less likely to come away. Impressed

Nice clothes dryer, easy to install & use
This is the second one of these which I have fitted, after recently moving house. Just like last time, I mounted this over the bath on the right-hand wall, with the handle facing the right, as it would be difficult to reach if it was the other way round. As before, I carefully unclipped the face plate of the end bar with a screwdriver, and turned it round so the 'Brabantia' logo was the right way up (see picture).Fixing it to the wall was not too difficult, although I used my own Rawlplugs & stainless screws, as I didn't trust the ones provided. On the right side there is a metal bracket which is screwed directly into the wall. This fits snugly over a plastic lip on the inner edge of the dryer. On the left, it secures with a long screw which goes directly through the casing. There is a bit of up & down movement before tightening so you can get it level. At the other end, I ran up against the same problem as last time, that the provided hooks wouldn't work, because the bar was now upside down! So once again, I used my own improvised J-shaped metal hooks (see picture) and I slipped a couple of plastic screw caps over the plug ends to neaten it up. So far, the hooks are holding well and seem to fit fine over the end bar.At the moment, the tension between the lines is pretty well balanced, but if they do get out of sync, it's quite easy to rectify this by pulling the lines out & letting them retract a few times. My clothes generally dry pretty quickly in the bathroom after airing for one or two days. This is a very useful product, and it's sturdy enough to take several large-ish, heavy-ish items like duvet covers, sheets & large towels. And it's great that you can retract the lines out of the way after use. The only issue I have with it, is the hook mechanism for the end-bar. They should really provide a type of hook which works either way round, as it must be a fairly common requirement to have to mount the product 'upside-down?' The face plate with the logo is easy enough to reverse, however. I'm very happy with this product, although I have knocked a star off because of the reversibility issue. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a space-saving solution to drying clothes indoors.

Robust and practical
To start I know this is not the most attractive thing in my hallway but it is practical as I have two small children and cannot afford to buy or run a tumble drier.I had been drying large items over doors and banisters but my banisters had started to go mouldy so I researched indoor clothes lines and purchased this based on good reviews and it being a brabantia - a brand I associate with good quality.I was not disappointed. This is robust and, hubby said, easy to build. It does require you drill into the walls - but how else would it be strong enough to support wet washing? It is made of strong plastic and has 4 retractable lines that stretch an impressive distance. I will only use two lines at a time as the clothes will be too close otherwise to dry efficiently. I have used this, together with my dehumidifier, and am impressed with how much quicker clothes dry when they are not crammed in a clothes horse and air is able to circulate all around. Would recommend to anyone who has the space to invest in one of these.

Worth paying that bit extra
I have used indoor washing lines for many years but I decided to pay that bit extra this year after daughter swung on the last one and needless to say broke it. This one is a lot sturdier and I like the locking mechanism which is easy to use and is effective. It was a little difficult to put up on the bracket but I liked the fact that the other side was screwed through the washing line taking the worry away will it come off. I have every confidence that this line will be longer lasting and looks a quality product. I am very happy with this item, see it as good value for money. Delivery was speedy so I am a happy bunny all round

Bought to replace a similar item from the 1970's but not terribly impressed with the fixings
This clothes line has 5 lines of nylon cord and the mechanism seems to work well. If the lines require tightening, you can turn a knob at one end and push it in to lock it in place. It fixes with a metal bracket on one side and with a screw through a secluded plastic hole on the other side. The instructions say to drill a 6mm hole for the wall plugs, but if you do, the plugs will pull out. Also the wall plugs are not long enough or strong enough for the job and the screws only go into the wall about 1 inch. In my opinion, they need to be at least 2 inches into a brick wall or they will pull out, trust me, it happened twice before I got the right length screws and wall plugs. It took me 2 hours to fit this when I was expecting it to take no more than 15 minutes. Why this was not designed with a simpler method of fixing puzzles me. I have yet to put wet heavy clothes on this, I fear it will fall off the wall even with longer screws than the ones supplied. Very disappointed by the plasticky quality and fixing method. The unit it replaces lasted 55 years and could have been repaired (cords got tangled during building work). I might keep the old 1970's one and repair it so that when this one breaks I can send it back. I thank you.

Brilliant bit of laundry kit!
I struggle to dry washing in the winter, we don't have space for a big airer to be up all the time. I ordered the indoor washing line to try and solve the problem and it does exactly that. It's easy to install (you have to drill 4 holes with a 6mm drill bit) and once up it appears to be rock solid. I hung a load of towels on there yesterday (2 x bath sheets, 2 x hand towels, numerous tea towels), the lines held up well with very little sagging in the lines. I put the dehumidifier on over night and everything was bone dry in the morning.
