I love this kitchen garbage, it has two compartments one for organic and one for recycling, it is ideal for me because I live in a city where the garbage must be separated, which makes the process easier, the lids are super easy to open, does not release bad odors, easy to extract the garbage bag, extremely easy to keep it clean and the value for money is incredible.

I really like how compact the trash/recycle can is. My kitchen is small so I wanted something that didn't take up too much room or look unsightly. This trash can works nicely. My cheif complaint is it is a real hassle with the trash bags. It's super aggravating , to replace the bag.

Looks great and functions as advertised. I recommend getting 13 gallon bags and not 8 gallon. The 8 gallon bags will not reach the bottom.

Tried this out because I wanted to save a couple bucks rather than buying from a bigger brand that’s slightly more expensive and that I knew you had to buy their bags.I assumed this SimpliMagic allowed you to put in regular garbage bags since there is no specific bag code like the other bins out there. However, immediately I noticed that regular trash bags bunch up, fall down, or just don’t stay.Some people have mentioned not using a bag at all which is guess is fine for the recyclables side (make sure to rinse and dry glass and cans well) but it wouldn’t do this for the side with regular trash. Sure, the insert bin pulls out but layers of rotting caked up food in the nooks and crannies of that thing is a no-go for me.Lastly, the design is just kind of weird. It mentions a feature for the lid to stay open. I feel like the quality of the lid opening is then messed up because I did that once and now my lid doesn’t open all the way. Also, it often takes multiple times to get the insert to slide into the correct position for the lids to close.Alas, it’s just a trash bin but it’s a real bummer for the price point that it doesn’t do any of the things that I paid for it to do. If I’d known this, I would have paid more money to buy the original bin that it’s ripping off.

Wish I never bought this. The trash bags fall inside if I don’t cut the string and make a knot to prevent falling in. I use the filter to prevent odors but it doesn’t do a great job either. The cans are slim so I have to take the trash out more often due to it gets filled very quickly.

So convenient. Space saver for our kitchen for sure!

I want to start by saying there are many reviewers who expressed their disappointment in the poor packaging this item came in, causing dents or scratches to the can. Ours was well packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box, each of the four corners were wrapped in Styrofoam, so there were no dents or marks on the can. It is quite long, to accommodate the two compartments, but it is narrower than the previous can we had so it fits in the same space. The lids open easily with the foot pedal, only a light press needed and the lids do not fly open to hit the wall, they open gently and easily, they also have a slow close. You can also hold them open for easier access during cooking or cleaning, you just need to give the lids a light push, while they are already open and they will stay open, just tap the foot pedal and they will close again. Others have expressed not liking the company logo on the top of each lid, they have bought stickers deafferenting the trash compartment from the recyclable one, since we do not put our recyclables in a plastic bag, not allowed in our municipality, the bright green bin is easily identified so we didn't cover the logos. We haven't been bothered by the logos. Highly recommended even with the high cost.
