These lights are amazing. They're bright the value for money comes from the Alexa integration of the Cync app. You don't have to get up and turn on the light. They can completely be controlled from an A.I. though she's touchy on some of the modes, such as she doesn't know the Cync name for modes like Aurora borealis or Volcano mode. You might have to say party mode which is a different mode and for volcano might be candel or flame. But overall this is a easy to use product. The setup through Cync is easy if you already have an account and their product, you can skip a step. Most color LED bulbs can only do one color at a time while this bulb sets it self apart by having 4 sections of Diodes programmed separately for some nice effects. This is probably the best bulb for flame effects as you can actually see more than one color at a time.

These are not the normal RBG bulbs you see a dime a dozen here on Amazon. These "dynamic" bulbs are something new. These do everything the normal smart bulbs do (colors, schedules, Alexa, etc.), PLUS...1. You can blend up to 4 different colors at the SAME TIME in one bulb. The effect is similar to the pictures you see on RBG bulb boxes, but actually real. Be mindful of how colors work though. (For example, a bulb half red and half blue will logically blend purple in the center, so don't expect "police lights" effect.) You can set the brightness of each hue independently. So if you want a really dim accent, you can set one color to say 5% and the rest to off. This way these can get much dimmer than normal bulbs.2. Lightshows take advantage of the new capability, so for example, "rainbow" no longer just cycles colors one after the other... it cycles and blends multiple colors WITHIN the bulb now. You can do a ton more with custom shows. I'm still playing around with these, but there are obviously alot more possibilities compared to the regular bulbs.3. These can sync to music, right out the box with no extra equipment. They have about 8 pre-made shows, or you can make your own. I wouldn't run this while watching television (can be distracting), but it works well with music. But again, you can set a custom show however you want.I just got these, so I'm still playing around with them and learning all the new tricks. I already had some of the regular RBG bulbs from CYNC and was happy enough with them... but these are a whole different level. As far as I know, these are the only bulbs on the market with these capabilities, so kudos to GE CYNC for stepping up their game.

Works really well. Sometimes they have issues connecting to the cync app but just refresh the app and try again.

I have voice-controlled lighting in several rooms in my house, and when the chance came to try Alexa-controlled color changing recessed lighting for my kitchen, I was very interested. There are multiple presets for multicolor functioning, but they are all a little dim to be usable for everyday use. The good news is that you can also set these lights to soft white, warm white, etc. and on the soft white setting they are just as bright as the regular LEDs they are replacing. I keep saying "they" because I liked the one I received to review so much I paid for two more to round out the lights in my kitchen. They're a bit pricey, but I really like being able to say "Alexa, turn off the lights" as I leave the room (or from my bedroom if I forget).

Overall very happy with how these look, only issue is that one has died after 3 days of use!

The visual difference between a light show on this versus a light show on the normal color bulbs is nominal in my opinion. The sound light show is slightly better than expected, so if that is your intention give it a shot!

The media could not be loaded.  The lights work well enough, the rainbow effect looks amazing seeing the four colors in each bulb. My issue comes with the customization. There doesnt seem to be a way to save different pallets. You can save the individual colors but not the mapping on the bulb. Most of the time when trying different color schemes one color tends to override the other. The custom scenes that are built for the light strip dont seem to be compatible with the light bulbs, The bulbs have there own customization interface, but no way to save different mappings, its super annoying. Ill keep playing with them and will update this review later. Unless you really want the rainbow effect your prob better off with the regular Direct Connect Bulbs. These dynamic have potential, but just dont seem to be quite there yet.

I have had this product for more than a month and it still doesn't work. Very complicated set up. Trying to clear everything so I could start over is still impossible. Very disappointed and frustrated with this product!!😡
