Food for Thought
An easy and enjoyable short read that provokes you to think differently about the nature of consciousness and reality in terms of philosophy and classical vs quantum physics.

A fantastic short but thought-provoking volume you should check out.
Being well into my senior years with more than 7 decades of study and learning about the various sciences in combination with research into the numerous esoteric topics as well, I have learned to be more open to strange and unusual ideas. Quantum physics has really changed many of our old ideas about time, space, consciousness and reality. This is why when I saw this short concise 82-page soft cover book (The spiritual implications of quantum physics: Reflections on the nature of science reality and paradigm shifts by Jeff Carreira) on Amazon I decided to purchase it.As I have always said, any book that forces you to think “out of the box” on the many mysteries of life is worth reading. This is that kind of book. I found this book to be interesting and thought provoking. The topics covered in this volume include the following: “Nothing changes but everything’s different, do time and space exist and has consciousness evolved.”In many ways I related to the author’s experiences in that I only believed in the so-called hard sciences and rejected anything to do with mysticism in my youthful years; however, as I aged and explored the science of quantum physics and esoteric topics, I realized the world is stranger than we know. Not only was this book very informative it is also an entertaining and a very enjoyable read. If you are interested in the role science and quantum physics plays in our everyday lives you may want to check out this book. I loved it.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).

An awesome new paradigm
I loved this book! I’m fascinated by quantum physics and how it merges with spirituality. The author explains what can be a difficult subject in an easy to understand way. I’ve read various books on quantum physics, and I like this one the best by far. It’s about how we can have a new way of perceiving things, a new paradigm. I highly recommend this to seekers.

Interesting Perspectives of Quantum Phyics Challenging Classic Physics of Reality
Carriers offers some nice, familiar analogies to convey some of the more startling aspects of quantum physics. And he pins these nicely to an idealist view of reality, in particular, consciousness as a candidate for the fundamental ground of being. A small erroneous detail occurred in his explanation of wave interference: it's my understanding that constructive interference occurs when peaks of coherent waves (and hence troughs) coincide, thus reinforcing the "signal." Destructive interference occurs when peaks and troughs align, thus cancelling the "signal."Enjoyed the book for his pointing out that quantum physics is eroding the classical physics interpretation of reality, and raising the contradictions of materialism.

A Blessing in My Life
I wish I had known about this little book 45 years ago when I began searching for a genuine connection to God. During those 45 years, I bounced around so many different religions, spiritualities, techniques, retreats, and workshops that it makes my head spin just thinking about it. I now see that I was nothing more than a spiritual dilettante, practicing this technique, practicing that technique, dabbling in this spirituality, dabbling in that spirituality, and never settling on a path that could take me where I wanted to go. For the last ten or so years, I’ve just been drifting.I am now 84 years old and approaching the end of my life, and I truly believe that God has led me to Brother Lawrence’s small book. I no longer need to carve out a special time in my day to meditate. I no longer need to practice anything that I have practiced in the past. All I need to do is to practice being in the presence of God as much as I can. This is something I can practice any time in the day and under any circumstance. Now, I do recognize that as a beginner I am simply adding another technique to the mountain of techniques I already know about. I have no guarantee that I will be led into a loving relationship with God through this practice. But, based on some of the very subtle and evanescent experiences I’ve had, I think I am on the right track. Thank you, God, for showing me this way to you.

Spiritual Seekers who live in the modern world need to read this book!
If you are looking to be “awake in the market place” it is essential to understand the development of our reliance on science as the arbiter of truth. As our perspectives shift toward the inclusion of quantum theory, we benefit from those that have done the hard work to put words to that shift and how it includes spirituality. I’ve read a fair amount of books on quantum theory and on spirituality and I have struggled with the concepts and the complexities of both, but reading this book by Jeff Carreira was enjoyable. I felt like I was sitting on a park bench with a dear friend who was happily recounting a personal journey of deep understanding. Jeff Carreira has an integrated knowledge of the relationship of science, spirituality and quantum theory that allows for elegant simplicity. His writing leaves room for my imagination to participate in the development of his ideas and there is kindness implicit in his wording that calms the readers mind as these vast ideas dance across the pages. I’ve read it a few times now and have found gems of insight each passage through the book. It feels like this is an introduction to a much larger body of work ahead and I look forward to reading more of his writing.

Simple book with a lot of solid information
This is one of my favorite (simplified) books on quantum physics and it's impact on our lives.
