We had difficulty fitting them onto our waistbands as the clip was very tight. Also they seemed to reset themselves several times a day which rather defeated the object.

The item didn't record accurately and after only a few weeks the battery went flat so the whole thing went into the bin.

Why does it stop working properly after just a couple of months?
I would be very interested to know how others get on with this pedometer, as I have had to buy two. The first worked brilliantly for a few weeks then stopped recording every step. I didn't know whether it needed a new battery or was just faulty, so I bought a new one. The second one started very well, recording every step, and then as time went on it too slowed. Whereas previously I would record at least 3,000 steps on a half hour walk, it slowed to barely recording 1,000 steps. This is very demoralising when I am trying to achieve as many steps as possible. I have come to the conclusion that after just a few weeks of use both pedometers clearly need a new battery. However, I cannot get the back off, the screw area is tiny and we have no screwdriver small enough to get the back off, so I will have to take it to a watch shop and see what they can do for me. Does the battery really last for just a few weeks? Or do I really need to buy a new pedometer every couple of months?
