No, this is 4 in 1 out vga switch/selector, it's irreversible.

Q: Can someone confirm if i can extend my laptop screen to the monitor if i use this switch one at a time?

This is just an A/B switch box. One VGA signal in from a computer, select which port to send the output to. From your laptop, if it has a VGA output, you can have mirrored, extended to the second monitor, etc. depending on what your system supports. This switch doesn’t make that possible and not needed unless you have two external monitors you want to choose from.

Q: Can I extend my screens, show something different on each screen?

No there's only 1 VGA port for only 1 screen. You share this 1 screen with up to 4 PCs/game consoles.
