Distance Z Trekking/Running Poles

I recently use BLACK DIAMOND Distance Carbon Z trekking poles during ultramarathon training and on my 100 mile race. They impressed me from start to finish. The product is exactly as described—very lightweight and easy to fold or expand. However, mine arrived missing the Velcro strap used to keep it secured when folded. It’s a great product otherwise.

I've had these for 5 or 6 months and so far they are holding up very well. I really loved my old aluminum BD Distance Z trekking poles but after about 10 years of steady use, I accidentally left them in a parking lot. I decided to try the 115cm carbon, which is a better height for me anyhow. I love the lighter weight, and while I fear they may be a little more fragile, they are serving me well. I do take care that people don't throw their heavy packs on top of them, just in case.

Great poles. Light and collapsible, but hold my weight easily. Had them for months now and still no bends. Easy to transport as they fold into thirds.

I like the carbon Z fixed length pole. It's light, well balanced and packed well. I use them alot for mountain running and have had them break. Black Diamond has a no hassle warranty which I have used. Tried leki poles and was very disappointed with customer service/ warranty department when there was an issue.

Good experience with this sturdiness

The trekking pole is easy to assemble, convenient to store, very light, and quite sturdy. I think it would be even better if it came with a storage bag.
