Talk about retirement
Let's stop using a purely number focused approach when it comes to planning for the retirement of an individual. The author is a financial planner who is bringing his expertise and experience as well as providing results from recent research so you can make the most out of your life prior to and after retirement. In a time when we are all living longer lives and making less money, we all have to be smart about our planning. Many people need to rethink their retirement strategies, and this book can help you get a start on that.

solid book and worth a read
It is a general overview of a variety of topics so it does not go deep into topics but it did a good job exposing me to concepts. I am a middle aged guy and fairly financially literate but still learned about end of life care insurance that can be combined with life insurance.

An excellent financial planning guide
Rather than retire at 65 to never work again, the author introduces the concept of Reconfigurement, which encourages a second career in a field that a person is passionate about or enjoys. The advice and technical details in the book are solid. Americans who are ready to start understanding personal finances better should read this book, even if you aren’t ready to retire. I was impressed at the wide breadth of topics the book covered in a concise and understandable format. Many jokes and humor breaks are included to ease the technical reading.
