Product is very well made and easy yo operate.

This test probe is the answer to every problem test probes of the past have had. Take note that as the probe goes down the ramrod handle comes up, so be careful you if you brace it against your body LOL!

This gives a good view of the soil, but I wish that it sent deeper into the soil. I shows about 8 inches. I has a nice step for inserting it into the soil, but the ram rod for pushing the soil out is a bit difficult. We have a high clay content to our soul and it's quite a bit of work getting it in and out. Overall, I'm happy with this, but if I was getting another one I might get something a little more light weight.

The build quality on this is excellent. With a few minor changes it would be great. As designed it is not very user friendly. The sample cores are much larger than a typical soil sampler. The stainless looks nice and the welds look good. The biggest issue I have with this sampler is the core ejection mechanism. As designed, I smashed my fingers between the handles multiple times. There should be a stop on the ejection mechanism so that there is a more than finger sized gap stop between the two. The other issue is with the step assist. It is not fixed in relation to the handle. This allows the step to swing around as you try to put your foot on it.
