A nice slice of life story.
A short slice of life novel, with a simple story but full of lovely details that keep you reading. With enjoyable and emotive moments and great characters. Truly well written, deserving all the praise this book has garnered so far.

A Sweet Story for Book Lovers
A young woman in Tokyo.is painfully dumped by a feckless man who she learns she learns has been seeing someone else the whole time they were dating and is now going to marry that other woman. The shy rejected woman leaves her job and is simply sleeping away her life. Her mother's brother calls her and talks her.in to coming to another part of town and living in the room above his.used bookshop. He tells her she can help in the shop in lieu of room and board. And from that move the reader gets to experience the building of love in many different guises. Its a lovely read and the bookstore itself is my favorite character.

a cozy book about healing
I found this book at my library and picked it up on a whim. I didn't have high expectations but there was something really special about this story. It's cozy atmosphere, the way it described the MC's healing, and the various relationships between all the characters hit home more than I expected. Had to get my own copy to annotate. I think I've re-read it 3 times in total now whenever I feel like I need a hug. It's an easy read, about 2 hrs for me. It'd be a good book if you need something quick for your reading goals.

Love the book! Looking forward to read the sequel. Since it is an imported product shipped to my home country, I will have to wait until there is a promotion, or a chance to get it from a friend travelling abroad :-(
