Stunning value for money, and very high quality. The 30 Kg nag will easily do me one season for the birds, likely two seasons and - fot this product - I run three feeders, all of which are used well. Good value bulk purchase. Just think carefully over storage. The bags (double wrapped) are sound and tough, but I felt far more comfortable keeping it inside two large plastic storage bins (I store them inside the garage). I did not realize how much the birds would love these. We have a variety of birds helping themselves to these hearts and they include blue tits, great tits, bull finches, chaffinch, long-tailed tits, green finch, cold tits,and gold finches. The birds are definitely hooked on these delicious sunflower hearts. I tried some myself and they do taste wholesome.

Sunflower Hearts may be more expensive than ordinary wild bird food, but I prefer it as there is no waste. Having watched determined birds throwing seed around - even out of the feeders - to get at their favourite bits, I decided to try buying JUST their favourite bits - and it certainly works. Instead of having a mess all round the feeders, and all sorts of new plants trying to grow each Spring in places i don't want them, the seed just disappears miraculously. Of course, that is the other disadvantage to these Croston Corn Mill Sunflower Hearts - they are SO good, they disappear very quickly. But if you want the birds flocking to your feeders - this is an excellent way of achieving it.

I've tried many types and producers and the Croston wheatsheaf sunflower hearts are by far an away the best. Our garden is full of birds such as, Goldfinch, sometimes as many as 20 at one time, Great Tits, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Coal Tit, Robin along with the normal band of House Sparrows. Rare visitors include Nuthatch and Reed Warblers. We're the envy of our neighbours.

The wood pigeons, the goldfinches, the chaffinches, the bull finches, the robins, the blue tits, the long tailed tits,the greenfinches, the great tits, the nuthatches, the collared doves etc etc all love these things. This is way cheaper to buy than in the supermarket. I have tried all sorts of bird food an sunflower hearts is the one that the birds seem to like the most.

The seed is excellent for the goldfinches as they arrive like a swarm of locusts and leave the feeders practically empty. Since changing to Croston Mill seed we have noticed more birds feeding and different varieties. Can highly recommend for good quality seed and fantastic delivery service.

As I don't eat it I cannot say what it tastes like but my feathered friends seem to like it. It's fabulous value even compared to buying it at the bargain shops on the high St. There are no rogue seeds and it is 30kg of sunflower hears. It comes as 20kg and 10kg. Which I thought odd but better for me. Easier to lift and store. Certainly saved me money. Recommend product and seller Croston Cornwall Mill.
