The quality.
I just had to do a review on these fly London boots. I’m a big fan of fly London footwear. My calf measures 14 1/2 inches so don’t have large calf's.These come up small tight around the leg, I take a size 5 and foot wise they are perfect. I just about got the zip up but once up they felt okay. Decided to keep them , with wear they will give…. After only a few wears they have loosened up and are so comfortable and stylish, look great with skirts.By the way I do wear with thick tight with them. . Excellent quality.

Fine for bigger calves.
I don't usually review products but am so pleased with my boots that I wanted to reassure other ladies with bigger calves that these boots would be suitable for them. I deliberated for some time before buying as I am a size 14 with 'dog-walking' calves measuring 15.5" at their widest point. The boots fall between a calf and knee high boot and therefore have a bit of give around the widest part of my calf. The buckle part is elasticated and can be let out to the 3rd hole which is where I wear them. Admittedly, I can only wear these with tights and a skirt or dress but this is what I bought them for as I prefer a chunkier boot with skinny jeans. It was a squeeze to get the zip done up at first but the boots were still comfortable as the leather is so soft, and since then, the leather has given considerably with wear and I have worn them all day at work several times now with no comfort issues. Also,a big bonus is that the sleek fit and the elongating effect on the leg due to the not quite knee height length is very flattering. I have not yet tested these in wet weather but do not expect them to be totally waterproof as with any other normal boot, and may treat them with a proofing spray. The only downside was the smell of the wax which had a definite hint of the farmyard as mentioned by another reviewer. This was quite strong at first but has worn off and hasn't put me off buying another pair in black to cover all eventualities.

Favourite boots
An excellent pair of top quality boots. I have had two pairs of the original Mol boots for 5 years and when I finally had to replace them Mol 2 were my first choice. I have not been disappointed.Featuring the same versatile style of the original Fly Mol boots, Mol 2 has an improved sole offering further water resistance. Very handy for those soggy Autumn/winter days. If you are expecting waterproof footwear please buy either Wellies or Goretex boots, these are more of a fashion boot than for puddle jumping! The leather is soft and comfortable in a deep chocolate shade with a slightly adjustable buckle to accomodate a slight variation in calf size. The sizing is excellent, a comfortable fit from the first step with no need to 'break them in'. Worth every penny, the only knee high boots you need!

True to size and colour
True to size,(8) took a couple of weeks to break in, but now so comfy, were a bit tight at first (I have fairly small calves)but with all leather boots and shoes they mould to your feet with more wear, look fab, my new faves! I did use dubbin and polish before I wore them to treat the leather first as I had previously read reviews about scuffs and with the right treatment look amazing!

Lovely boots but too narrow to do up zip.
I am so disappointed at having to return these boots. They are beautiful and I was so happy when I opened the box, but when I tried to do up the zip it was impossible. I don't usually have any trouble zipping up knee length boots, but these are very narrow on the calves. If you have very slim calves then I would recommend them but otherwise I wouldn't.

Not just for skinny legs!
I was apprehensive about buying these boots for 2 reasons after reading other reviews: Lots of people commented on them being a very narrow fit around the calf and others complained about them letting water in. Well, I am a size 7 and I have, I would say, very average calves - not fat, but definitely not skinny, and they fitted perfectly. In fact, they also have an adjustable strap so had I found them a little too snug I could have loosened them also, but there was no need. I have fairly narrow-ish feet and I found them to be a little wide but that just means I have the option to wear thick socks if I choose. They are very comfortable with or without thick socks. As for them letting in water, I took the advice of some other reviewers and purchased a tin of dubbin and smothered them with this when I bought them and so far no issues when out in quite heavy rain. They are very stylish but casual and I would say a little reminiscent of my Doc Martins from my teenage years in their feel. There are two bad points I have found: The first is their smell; they have quite a strong fishy smell when brand new but it does seem to be fading with wear. The other is the soles aren't great on smooth floors; they slide a bit on the floor of my local supermarket especially when they are wet. However, when traipsing through the mud at the local park, they seem to grip very well. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and I am definitely a new convert to Fly London.
