Nice texture, no grease
I like it so farI’ve been trying it for a few days and it leaves my hair soft without feeling heavy. I only need a tiny bit. It helps a lot with frizz, especially when I straighten my hair. Doesn’t leave that greasy finish like some other oils.

great oil for damage
This product is a must for my hair now. I have low porosity very dry damaged hair with many split ends and it works, my hair instantly feels more healthy, it increases the moisture in the dry ends, 3 drops works on all my ends so a little goes a long way but it’s still really expensive which I feel like you could find other products that do the same for the same price, I just haven’t found any. It is a pretty heavy oil so I don’t recommend for everyone and it can cause too much oiliness! It’s pretty small amount they give lasts me like a couple months the small size

Smooth & light weight
I LOVE this hair oil. My hair is so smooth and so light weight with it in. Just 3-4 drops makes a huge difference.

Smooths the frizz
Great product for dry damage hair. I use it on dry and towel dried hair. Helps with frizzy ends. A little goes a long way.

Expensive and Ineffective
I had high hopes for the K18 Repair Hair Oil, especially since I purchased the entire K18 line. The shampoo, conditioner, detox shampoo, leave-in mask, and this oil. While I absolutely love the detox shampoo and leave-in mask, this oil was a complete letdown. For $65, I expected noticeable results, but I saw and felt no difference in my hair. It didn’t provide the level of repair, softness, or shine I was hoping for. Given how effective other K18 products have been for me, this one was especially disappointing. Definitely not worth the price—1 star.

Subtle Scent, Serious Letdown – Left My Hair Drier Every Time
Give it three stars because so many people love it but personally I think it’s horrible especially for people with over processed hair and I had high hopes for the K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil. With all the buzz surrounding this sleek, science-forward brand and the premium price tag, I expected a transformative experience. What I got was a subtle-scented, high-end disappointment that made my overprocessed, thinning blonde hair worse—not better. Here’s what happened:⸻Scent: Clean and SubtleLet’s give credit where it’s due. The fragrance is very mild, almost undetectable—something I appreciate in leave-in products. It won’t compete with your perfume or irritate a sensitive scalp. I thought this was a promising sign.⸻Performance: Left My Hair Feeling Even DrierMy hairdresser first used this oil on me, thinking it might help after color treatment. It didn’t feel hydrating at all. I brought a sample home and gave it several chances, applying it to damp and dry hair alike—but each time, my hair felt rougher, not softer.Instead of sealing moisture, it seemed to highlight the brittleness of my ends. Even small amounts left my hair looking dull, weighed down, and more prone to frizz, not less. It did not detangle, did not smooth, and did not protect.⸻Why It Doesn’t Work (at least not for fragile hair):• No nourishing slip—lacks that emollient softness good oils provide• Too light for dry or porous hair, yet somehow still left a residue• Claims to “repair” or “shield” just didn’t hold up in real use• Doesn’t layer well with other products—caused buildup and texture issues⸻Price vs. Performance: Overhyped and OverpricedThis is a luxury price for lackluster results. I’ve tried many products—from clinical-grade formulas to budget oils—and I rarely return something this quickly. Thankfully, because I’d tried a sample and already knew it didn’t work for me, I was able to return the full-size bottle unopened once my Amazon order arrived.⸻My Hair Type:Fine, thinning, dry, overprocessed blonde—and currently under dermatologist care. I’ve had success rebuilding my hair’s strength and moisture balance with the right mix of products. This was not one of them.⸻Bottom Line:If your hair is damaged, brittle, or color-treated, I don’t recommend this oil. It didn’t deliver on any of its promises and actively made my hair feel worse.Follow me for honest, experience-based reviews. I test both luxury and affordable options for stressed-out hair—so you don’t waste time or money on products that don’t work.⸻Full Ingredients (from official label):Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, C13-15 Alkane, Bis-Hydroxy/Methoxy Amodimethicone, Isododecane, Isoamyl Laurate, Fragrance (Parfum), Tocopherol, Schinziophyton Rautanenii Kernel Oil, Squalane, Phytosteryl Macadamiate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Hydroxypropyl Gluconamide, Hydroxypropylammonium Gluconate, Citric Acid, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Linalool.
