Voltage Dimming module-YYAC-3S AC 220V Thyristor Isolation Module Dimming Voltage Regulator PWM Controller

Bought this to go in a heated bird roosting box, controlled by a Raspberry Pi. It controls the level of a 7W 240V incandescent bulb. It has been running in the bird box since September 2023 although temperatures only dropped low enough to activate it in late October. I am writing this in early December and dimmer has worked perfectly so far with no sign of any issues.Obviously take extra care if you are using mains voltages like you would with anything.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very versatile module that will respond to either a PWM signal or an analogue voltage, and will switch a fair load. I want to control a 2kW heating element, so I unsoldered the small BT137 triac on the board and hooked up a BTA41 on an external heatsink. The board uses a MOC3020 driver which is perfectly happy controlling the bigger triac. The video shows it with an Arduino Nano sending a sawtooth ramp repeatedly, the heatsink gets slightly warm with the 2kW load
