Q: will this fit the iPad air 5?

It has specific cut outs for the speakers and charger port so you will have to check and verify that the positions for those are the same on your iPad Air 5 vs the iPad Pro 11in. I know they are the same size. Also on your iPad Air 5 you have Touch ID on the power button. This case covers the power button so you wouldn’t be able to access your Touch ID button. I can say for sure that it’s great for the iPad Pro 11in 4th gen.
