Vital Nutrients - Blood Sugar Support - Support for Normal Blood Sugar Levels in Healthy Individuals - 120 Capsules

I began using this because the product I have used for several years by NuNaturals is no longer available. When it was combined with medium dose metformin, BS were well controlled for me between 100-120.Have needed to find a replacement for NuNaturals. I tried Berberine by Dr Whittaker’s. It did not work at all. In fact, this raised my blood sugars consistently to 150-160.Vital Nutrient’s product has helped similarly to NuNaturals, in that BS with metformin is back to 90-120 range.Only complaint is the price. It appears a bit steep, and the effect seems to wear off in just under 12 hours. Taking 3 per day would make a major price hike, compared to other alternatives including prescription medications.For this reason I likely will keep looking into alternatives. I have found that sources of Berberine that come from the plants in the berberis species, root or berry, have worked far better for me than Dr Whittaker’s brand; his deliberately does not specify source (often that means they are using an isolated chemical from some other plant such as golden seal or oregan grape). At least for me it seems there is more to the berberis species sourcing, with its long history of benefit, than one simple yellow chemical that can be artificially isolated and extracted, then named after the parent plant, and subsequently found to also be in a few other plants. Meaning. There is solitary Berberine in these other unnamed sources, perhaps, but that does not make the one isolated chemical anywhere remotely the same as a complex root or berry extract of the berberis species complete with the range of other co-habitating chemicals the plant puts there. It appears so far that when I use Vital Nutients as an adjunct, I am again able to reduce my metformin to 1/2 or 1/4 dose along with Natural Factors or Enzymedica’s version of Berberine that comes from plants in the true berberis species. If this continues then I will begin to branch out for a lower cost alternative to Vital Nutrients.I am happy with the ingredients in Vital Nutients. But the price does not seem warranted.

I am super skeptical when it comes to supplements. My doctor informed me that my blood sugar levels were almost at a pre-diabetic stage. My daughter, who is a nurse and bought these supplements for me as she wanted me to get healthy. . So, I lost a few pounds, cut back on white carbs and took these pills daily. 6 months later, I my tests revealed blood sugar levels were totally normal. I am not longer at risk for diabetes. I was really surprised and will continue taking these supplements.

Is helping maintain healthy sugar levels. Will continue to use

Great product in that it helps me maintain my blood sugar at just over 100 for my morning blood sugar tests. I'm not using insulin and hoping to stay that way for years to come.

This supplements lifestyle and diet changes that myself (Type 2) and husband (prediabetic) are doing to regain control over our health and wellbeing. He has his FBS in the 80s now and mine are in 110s-120s. Slow but steady progress.

As a Type II diabetic I last used this product 4 years ago and it was fantastic! It helped to bring my A1C level into the normal range when used in combination with diabetic medication. I took one a day. Having strayed 4 years from last using 'Blood Sugar Support,' I've been feeling pretty lousy and will give it another go. However, one caveat, Vital Nutrients has warned me about buying this product online. I have purchased direct from the manufacturer in the past, but their warnings may be in their self interest to make money at its supported pharmacy. Albeit, I shall soon see again if the desired effectiveness returns...

This product was like all the other blood sugar supplements I've tried. It's worthless and demonstrates no efficacy whatsoever! I'm always hopeful, but this is at least the 3rd product I tried and it did nothing but lower the cash in my pocket! Don't waste your time or $.
