I heard from a lot of family members how good these were, so when my old doorbell stopped, I took the plunge and bout this. I love the way that you can set it to ring as someone approaches your door, giving to time to look at it on your TV or phone to see who it is. If it’s a cold caller you can use the app to tell them, no thank you, (or words to that effect) without having you open your door to a stranger. High quality, nice design and VERY easy to install. Sound quality is good as is the picture quality, both during the day or even on night vision.

Had been looking for a ring doorbell for a while but hadn’t been able to find the right one for my home until this one popped up , what’s great about it is that it is battery operated so no fiddly wires or difficulty to install just charge the battery , set up on the app and your good to go . It’s really easy to use and can be shared across devices . The quality is good and notifications are clear and precise. Settings are easy to navigate and change where needed . And as there’s an app it’s easy to use .

As a doorbell works fine had it a few weeks, biggest drawback is the battery only lasting 5 days before recharging, Ring have been in touch very good customer Service, I am using Mode Settings and this has gone a long way to solving a lot of the problem.Battery use is now not to bad .The Chime alert works well with a lot of variety, connected to Alexa but rarely use it

I bought this Ring doorbell with a certain amount of scepticism after reading some of the reviews. The Ring Camera is solid and quality unlike some of the alternative products on. I set it up very easily indoors on the table, the set up instructions within the Ring App are very good and easy to follow, the Ring Chime that I purchased with this item proved a little trickier to pair with my broadband after installing in the hallway, the router wouldn't connect properly so I brought the chime to the living room where my router is and paired it there at the 1st attempt, after an hour or so i moved it back to the hallway and it works fine. The many settings within the app allow you to set up the device for optimum battery use tailored to your needs. You can also tailor the alert zones immediately beyond and around the ring camera so that you only get the alerts that you want, which is particularly important if overlooking other properties and you don't want to be alerted every time a person walks past their house. The picture capture quality is very good. After the months free trial of recording, I thought I would not bother with it, but find it is very useful to have this as for a start your not always at home and sometimes you need proof of wrong doing and cant have that without the recording feature. Having a quick reply is good as well due to it taking me a bit of time getting to the door.

A must have for every front door, makes life so much easier if you are not in the lower part of your home, great piece of kit easy to install and set up, should have got one years ago.

Reliable Doorbell and camera, handy to view who is ringing the doorbell on Echo Show 5 or phone. 2 way communication works well and used it a few times for instructions for parcel delivery. Battery lasts a long time between charges. Recommended

Why did you choose this product over others?:Purchased for a family member, for safety due to my good experiences with the previous 1, 2 & 3 versions. Due to the strong Ring brand, it’s presence is a deterrent, as people know what it can do & how easy it is to transfer footage to even police , if necessary, as the footage can be kept on their cloud for at least 30 days. & clips can be forwarded from there to whoever needs it. Amazed at the sharp quality of the lens & the colour in the day & night. You can now see head to toe easily but also even shows the driveway. You can even zoom in on the footage. Plus Easy for distant families to be authorised to have app access to the footage. To check on elderly relatives & check visits / post delivered safely & unwanted intruders.It came with a mount with a reversible small wedge so you can angle it on either side of the door to get a wider or narrower view
