A little tricky to get on and for the size of what I needed to cover, it took two people to apply. But, it was good that you could apply and then un-peel to get all the bubbles out. Once we got over the corners (which were a challenge) all worked out. It looks really nice. Feels like and looks like marble. Seriously. Who would ever know this was a cheap interior door that we salvaged and cut in half? Could not find anything to cover the dimensions of the top. We were looking at $400.+ for something custom made. So, obviously this way cheaper. And it looks pretty good. The instructions were clear. And it came with the wall paper tool to smooth out lines. Very happy with the purchase. And I have some left over for another project. Yay.

went down well nice and smooth. next morning bubbles in surface. smoothed them out/ next day even more bubbles. as i was smoothing it back out noticed material is coming up around the edges. i am about to pull it up and try something else. good thing it was on a project and not something i was doing for a customer.

My application was very simple (to cover a table) so it was very simple. Watch some Youtube videos (also videos on installing contact paper as this application is similar). Product cuts easily with scissors, mat-knife or razor blade. Do not try to cut to exact size as it is better to wrap the edges of your surface (basically it is impossible to cut and place it exactly enough, and the product is paper thin so it better to just fold vinyl around surface edges so that terminations are hidden under (some say to staple it under the counter, but we just cut it off along the bottom edge, which worked well in our case). Make sure that the surface is no only clean but also very smooth. My surface had some seams which I filled with painters puddy and lightly sanded, but I should have sanded it much more carefully as even very slight surface irregularities really show when the light is at the right angle (not a huge deal, but…). I was worried about right angle edges of the table, but this turned out to be no problem (watch the instant granite video on how they cut and fold corners). All and all I am happy with result. I gave it 4 stars (rather than 5) because I think the resulting surface is a bit too shinny to have a real stone look: A more satin finish to the vinyl would have been better.

I ordered this product as a short-term, quick fix to cover a hideous, dated laundry room countertop. We have a big fixer-upper house with many projects to cover and a limited budget and I knew that actually replacing the counter in the laundry room would be years down the road. Overall, I am satisfied and glad I ordered, but as with all things, you pretty much get what you pay for. This is a decent covering that gives a clean, bright finish. It looks nothing like marble unless you have a few cocktails, stand back and squint in low light. It pretty much looks like contact paper/plastic. As others noted, the veining is very subtle and the counter looks plain white unless you are up close and looking hard- the veining is very light and limited. I was surprised with how well it went on- not as easy as the Appliance Art installation videos make it look- but I was able to do it, with minimal bubbling, in about 30 minutes time. Just go slow and work with a hair drier as the instructions recommend. I thought it was very sticky, contrary to what other reviewers experienced. Overall this was worth the $40 and 30 minutes spent. I was hoping I would love it so much that I would want to put it in other parts of the house- like our kitchen island, but because of the plastic finish and overall contact paper ascetic, I personally would not.

My husband and I bought this as a quick fox for our kitchen until we get around to getting real granite next year(bought a house with lot a of updating). I couldn't stand the 90s green countertops anymore. It is a nice product. And when it didn't ship as soon because of the ice storms I had great customer service. The product does look plastic like. It's extremely shiny as in plastic shiny. It does NOT look as real as the pictures show. You can tell it is not real granite pretty easily. Maybe the other patterns look more real. From afar it does look fantastic and up close it doesn't look bad. Just not real. And it's a nice fix until we fully remodel our kitchen. It does take time to put on. And do not leave bubbles!! Once there they do not go away. The one piece had a bubble on it before we placed it down. The whole part of that counter was ruined with huge creases no matter how much we tried. We used a squeegee and everything. We ended up having to order another piece which we should get soon. Again it is a nice product. But at least the Italian marble does not look as real as the pictures show in my case. The marble lines are also very faint. So it almost looks plain white. This could have just been my sheet. Who knows.
