Lovely pen -though didn’t feel nib extended out as far as others I’ve purchased. I like these pens - lovely weight and feel.

Attractive but expensive
This came with a blue refill and I prefer black. It looks as though I will have to buy buy the special brand, and am not yetv sure it is worth doing so. The pen is a good colour and writes well. it feels " plasticy ", though.

Ich schreibe viel und mag nicht immer diese Plastik-Billigdinger in der Hand haben, die sehr viel Müll verursachen. Den CARAN d'Ache hat mir ein befreundeter Journalist empfohlen und er ist wirklich ein sehr schöner, stabiler Stift. Ich würde ihn immer wieder kaufen.

Seems silly to write a review about just a simple pen, but this is the type of pen that deserves it. Classical styling, superb function, wonderful colors. The ballpoint action is smooth writing and has never given me a problem, over multiple surfaces and temperature ranges. The grip is like a standard pencil from grade school and the weight is well balanced. The spring action is smooth, with just enough weight. If you are looking to step-up your writing game, without breaking the bank, buy this pen. I've already purchased several for myself and as gifts.
