doesn't fit all
i have a CLK 350 2004 W209 and it doesnt fit to bypass the CD changer which is why i bought this in the first place.

Worked perfectly in 2007 AMG R63
I installed a 10" screen CarPlay stereo in our 2007 MB R63 and if you remove an original component in the fiber optic system these must be used in place of removed component ( ex: CD car changer.) Easy plug and play and the sound comes back on. Think of fiber optic as a "hose" for light instead of water and if you remove a component in the fully functional system you must reconnect the missing component to connect the hoses again. Light stops at the missing component connector otherwise. Once installed the sound was there. It took me awhile to figure out as I forgot that I removed the CD changer after testing the new stereo than when I was all complete there was not sound. Great and easy
