This is a very informative and helpful guide from authors who clearly have a great deal of experience.Strange to say, they give so much guidance that it makes the process sound more complex than it probably is. The major debate I'm left with before moving forward is the choice of machine, because they vary in price from under £100 (loads of those on Amazon) to as high as £13k. How can the price vary so much, and why spend hundreds or thousands if they're available for under £100? Presumably, you get what you pay for, but where do the differences lie? I almost need a vol 2 of this book on 'how to choose your freeze dryer'!
