Solid bookcase for the price. All five shelves are fixed in place, which was what we needed for our application. A couple assembly tips. After you screw the pins in, assemble whatever piece has the holes. Then you put the silver cams in over the pins and tighten. In other words, you don't need to put the cams in first -- they fall out anyway. Second, I recommend you install all but the middle backing piece, then put the top half of the bookcase on top of the bottom half. Then install the final backing piece. The directions would have you install all five backers then stand the bookcase up. But with only dowels to hold it together, it can still split apart (top and bottom halves) when you stand it up. Much better to put the top on the bottom, then tack in the final backing piece.

instructions are kinda bad but its super easy to put together even without them. heavy ASF so id say its good quality lmao. looks just like the picture and everything came with it including some tools. good size too.

This bookcase is very poorly designed. You will get very frustrated because the cam fasteners fall out so easily. You will be concerned that as soon as you stand the bookcase up the whole bookcase will fall apart because of how easy the cam fasteners fall out. The thing I don't understand is if everything is stationary (no adjustable shelves) why not use wood screws and screw everything together that way. It would be a whole lot more sturdier and lot less frustrating. So this is my rating for each section 1 star for Build Quality, Sturdiness, Ease of assembly and Value for money. Looks I give it 3 stars. Fit, if it holds together would be 3 stars.

Bought (2) for pantry shelving. These work well, except the top & bottom sections try to come apart.

This bookshelf perfectly fit the space I needed it for. I was able to build it myself as a girl in her mid twenties. It is sturdy and not on a slant as other reviews stated. While tightening the screws just make sure the shelves are straight and flush with each other. I think the bad reviews are user error. Just take your time and it’ll come out beautifully!

The size and sturdiness of this bookshelf is great! The spacing of the shelves and fit of the pieces are inconsistent as the pins screw into a plastic plug stuck into the wooden panels. When the shelf arrived, I did have a ding on the edge of one of the panels, but the surfaces themselves were packed nicely with material in betweeen pieces. One note is to space out your back panels first before first tacking them down. Also, the tacks are quite flimsy and I recommend marking where you want to nail by tapping with a Phillips screwdriver and hammer.

Great quality, I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still sturdy as ever
