We’ve been using the One Step Steam Iron for a while now, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with its performance. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:Pros:Easy to Glide:The stainless steel soleplate is smooth and allows the iron to glide effortlessly across different fabrics. I find it easy to get through wrinkles quickly, and the even steam distribution makes the process much more efficient.Heats Up Fast:One of the best things about this iron is how quickly it heats up. You don’t have to wait long to start ironing, which is a huge plus when you’re in a rush.Lightweight:Contrary to what some irons feel like, this one is not heavy at all. It’s lightweight enough to handle comfortably.No Major Issues with Water Tank:I had a minor mishap where I accidentally spilled water when refilling the tank, but surprisingly, it didn’t affect the iron’s performance. It still worked just fine, which is a relief since some irons tend to malfunction if they get wet in the wrong places.Cons:Cord Reel Issue:While the cord reel is convenient for storing the cord, I’ve found that it sometimes gets stuck. If this happens, I have to manually pull the cord and re-roll it, which is a bit annoying. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind.Overall, this is a solid iron that does its job well. It heats up quickly, is easy to glide over clothes, and isn’t too heavy, making ironing much easier. The iron was working okay at first and then started leaking water from the bottom plate. It's a fast leak and the iron was not dropped. Black and Decker offers no support over the weekends. Hopefully this is not a counterfeit. Monday will tell the story.Here's a follow-up:The iron is legitimate. The Black & Decker representative said that Amazon is very good about weeding out counterfeits. I wanted to up the rating, but the warranty service was rather lame. The iron is a little over a month old and just out of Amazon's return policy period. I was required to mail in a check for $7.50 so that they could pay for the postage to send a new unit to me. Really? Also, I was required to cut the cord and send a picture by email. What's irritating is that I only got a partial warranty. They should take responsibility for their products and also their customers. $7.50 is no big deal but it's about a third the price of the iron, and an unnecessary irritation for the customer. If they don't trust their customers, they should just send a shipping label and have the unit returned. The paltry amount involved in shipping can't buy a whole lot of good advertising, but it certainly can buy a lot of bad advertising. I'm done with Black & Decker.
