My favorite is the Cherry Mini Hand Pies - Details, gluten-free fruit mini hand pie: it’s about the length and width of my pinky. Perfect for snacking and on the go. The filling in these little guys are very good not too tart and not cloyingly sweet. The crust is delicate, flakey and off the hook delicious. Not gritty at all in texture as other brands Gluten-free crusts I’ve had. I’ve been Celiac since 1998 and believe me these are an amazing treat for a picky Celiac. I can make and bake a lot of the gluten-free items I want myself... Sometimes you want to just grab a snack that you don’t have to put effort into, these in my mind, are a great pre-made prepackaged sweet treat. This brand has really shown me they have made good stuff even better over the years. I recommend these if you want a hand held sweet small snack you don’t have to prep and bake yourself. I will buy again, delighted with these. Picture shown of cherry flavor with a bite out of it. Review: Frozen Pies Defrosted When I Received Them - After ordering and tasting these pies I am having a hard time understanding why so many people find them delicious and good quality. I wonder if I got a different batch because mine were neither delicious nor good quality. I have never ordered something like this so I had no idea what to expect. Every time I have ordered a frozen product to be shipped it was enclosed in either ice packs or dry ice. These pies were enclosed in cardboard and no ice packs so I was not surprised that they were thawed when I got them. I ordered these gluten free pies for my daughter who has a gluten allergy. The reviews were mostly good so I trusted the company to deliver the product that was promised in a condition safe to eat. I was at the door when the pies were delivered. They did not sit outside at all. The outside of the box said freeze immediately, so that is what I did. The pies inside were NOT packed with ice packs or dry ice to keep them frozen in transit. All of them were totally thawed when I put them in the freezer. I decided to try the pies before I gave them to my daughter. I opened the box of apple pies. They were white, small and looked raw...not anything like the picture on the box. I followed the instructions exactly and put them in the microwave for the time required, 15 seconds. They still looked raw so I put them in again. I did that three times. The pies still looked like they had not been cooked. There was a thick layer of sugar on each of them. I ate one of the apple pies. It tasted like dough with an overload of sugar. There was little if any apple taste. That night and the next day I was sick. I felt like I had food poisoning. I have had food poisoning before and the symptoms were the same. I had not eaten anything else so I thought it must be the pie I had eaten. I decided to contact the company....not to get my money back or return the remaining pies....but to alert them that there might be a problem with the pies they were shipping without refrigeration. I was afraid that someone like my daughter, who has a serious problem with gluten, would become more ill than I had. The company responded. To their credit they responded politely every time I contacted them. They asked for information as to when I received the item, how it was stored, best by date, if the box was damaged, when I consumed them, when I became ill. I answered every question. It was important to me that no one else get sick so I was willing to help in any way I could. Their response was to ask me if I had allergies......nothing about the possibility that the product had become contaminated during shipping. I have no allergies....I told them so. I was a little angry that the only thing they came up with was that it might be my allergies....not their product. I also told them I didn't want a refund or to return the product. I only wanted them to be sure they were selling and shipping safe products to people like my daughter. I copied and pasted several desertcart reviews into the return letter that stated the same problem I had with the pies. The company response was that the majority of the reviews were because of improper storage or delay in delivery. The negative reviews did not change their mind about investigating the quality of the pies they were shipping. In that letter they also said that my pies were delivered within the 48 hour window that does not affect product quality....even if it does arrive thawed and looking raw. Therefore, the thawed pies were most likely not responsible for my illness. Though this is a company that makes gluten free products and I am always looking for good gluten free products for my daughter, I will not order from them again. I think companies, especially those who sell food products, should pay attention to the negative reviews as well as the positive. They DID respond to my email. Some companies do not. That is worth one star. I did not ask for nor receive a refund or a replacement product. I accomplished nothing with my correspondence with the company. My goal was to enlighten the company about the possibility that their product or the way they shipped the product could possibly cause illness for the consumers. Food poisoning is pretty miserable. Sometimes even in the best of companies a bad product slips through. Even knowing that my letter encouraged them to step up quality control would have made my effort worthwhile. All I know is that I ate the Katz gluten free apple pie and within a short time was sick for two days.

Small scrumptious treat
Loving these small fruit pies (approx 2x3”) - delicious and just enough to satisfy a sweet tooth. The ‘crust’ is soft and a bit crumbly. The glaze/frosting sweetens without overdoing it. The fruit fillings have small fruit pieces in them. Hard to decide between the three flavors - all were tasty. They are nothing like a Hostess pie - actually taste more like real pies and ‘crust’ is not as firm or dry. They are pricey, but gf items usually are. I do wish the shipping cost wasn't so ridiculous on Katz items. They arrive thawed and are meant to be frozen upon arrival and reheated from frozen in 15 seconds in microwave - I appreciate this because they will keep well frozen. Overall I am pleased with them and will reorder regularly - would ‘subscribe’ if that was offered.

Nice tasting pastry, super skimpy on the filling
I've had celiac for a long time & gluten free products have come a LONG way in taste but especially texture. These little pies have the flakiest, well made & super tasty. However, there is such a small amount of fruit I couldn't taste it in any of the three pies, very disappointing. When I found these I was so excited because I REALLY wanted one of those fully packed, drip down your chin fruit pie i remember getting. Kutz is one of my favorite gf brands but, these miss the mark unfortunately.

Taste great, but look nothing like the picture
i like all four flavors, even those I usually wouldn't choose to eat. They actually taste like fruit pies! The pictures of the pies make them look like a slice of pie and don't actually show the product (always a bad sign). They are little squares (maybe 2 1/2 inches). The outside is brown and a bit sticky. The inside looks and tastes like the appropriate fruit and is about 1/4 inch thick. Though the package pictures are misleading, I really like these pies!

Bite size deliciousness
These are very tasty pies! They are small, really no other word for it, but they pack alot of flavor into that little package! They are frozen though, which I did not realize when I ordered - I'm not a huge "warm pie" fan, but I have still enjoyed these ~ all 3 flavors!

Ugh
Texture was dry, small and mostly crust; not enough filling.

delicious though expensive
I thought these were delicious mini pies, with a good ratio of filling to crust. The crust itself was tasty, as were all three flavors of filling. The price is indeed high. Note that each pie is quite small.
