Okay Ready Rice - fast cooking
This is an okay ready rice. It doesn't compare to standard stovetop cooked rice, but is okay for a quick preparation side. The flavor is definitely Cilantro Lime - so if you don't like Cilantro, don't get it. My children did not like it at all and they are not picky eaters. Partly texture - partly flavor

Food
I like the ease of using this rice while camping. It is tasteful as well and easy to make any type of fried rice.

Tasty but the rice seems stale
I will not buy these sizes again ,as they are always old.

Horribly dry
A couple things to be aware of if you are considering this. I purchased this via subscribe and save. #1, do not do that. Amazon doubled the order and refused to cancel the order or give me a refund.#2, the flavor of this is great. However it is the driest rice I have ever cooked. I followed the instructions exactly and it is inedible. For a quick and easy side, the quality is a total miss.

Easy
Had great jasmine rice flavor. Couldn't be easier to warm up in the microwave. Got tired of screwing up making rice the old way.

Great in a pinch
Nothing beats fresh rice. Let's get that out of the way. That being said, out of all the instant rice out there, this might be the best brand.this 17.3 oz pounch is a great size for a few people.Flavor: The Coconut Jasmine rice was great for a quick shrimp bowl. I added shallots, garlic, chiles, and some random stuff I had like honey, ginger, soy sauce flavors. Lime, cilantro. I think this made a really nice spicy thai shrimp rice bowl. I would make this again next time I don't feel like also making fresh rice.Texture: Ready rice is always kind of soggy in my opinion. To make it less sad, I recommend pan frying it in some oil. I do this in my carbon steel wok, to get it a little crisped up and dried out a little. Just a tip to improve the texture.Value: Less than $5 / pouch is still kind of expensive for rice, but you are paying for the convenience of not having to make fresh rice. I think there is $5 value there for a lot of people who want a lazy day.
