Put this next to any other air purifier around the same size and price, no contest. I just returned a LeVoit I bought for the same price. Boy was that dumb. Louder than hell, super weak air flow, and smelled like toxic plastics. It was absolute CRAP. This Blueair is very quiet, has amazing air flow, smells like clean air, and looks SO much classier to boot (Scandinavian styling). I have another bigger Blueair in my office. It's been going for years (+ filter changes). Still works perfectly. Sometimes you get what you pay for. But other times, even when you pay the same, you don't. So shop smart. There's a reason good brands are good and cheaper ones aren't!!

Simple to set up. Works fine. I've only had it for a few days and will put up another review after I have changed the filter in about five months. I'll be able to see the dirty filter and know how well it keeps my room dust free. The air here many times is loaded with dust from the desert winds when they really pick up.

This Blueair air purifier is pretty amazing. I should preface by saying my husband and I are both indoor vape users. I was worried an air purifier wouldnt be effective because of this fact. Add in that we have two large dogs and 4 indoor cats. - Blueair proved me wrong. So I bought this unit in May 2025. It's now the 20th of November and the filter JUST turned red promoting me to replace it!!! Holy cow! That's an amazing value and effectiveness!! It made a huge difference this entire time with lowering the smell of dog and indoor air pollution I could constantly smell in this home of ours. We have an older home with fixed windows, add in the 4 indoor cats and the inability to leave the doors open to let in fresh air regularly thanks to the constant Florida heat and humidity, and I was always feeling like the air was just stale and gross in here, even before the vaping came into account. But this air purifier has been a game changer. It was so easy to set up, so easy to maintain and clean (both regular maintenance and with washing the exterior cloth filter) and replacing the interior filter took no time at all. Highly recommended product!!

I like the effectiveness of this air purifier so as far as performance goes, I think it should have five stars. Since there’s no way of testing air quality and we just have to go on faith, I’m guessing that it’s a good quality machine. However, clearly it was designed with aesthetics in mind and not practicality. It’s difficult to turn on an off or to know how to turn it higher or lower. You do this with a series of taps on the top ring. It’s very Star Trek in a very unnecessary way. I love Star Trek. I love everything about Star Trek. I don’t think even they would’ve kept this on the enterprise because it’s too annoying to use , however, having said that I just turned mine on low and keep it on all the time. I have noticed that environmental allergies bother me much less this year. If you are into the super modern look and have the gray walls that all designers think everyone should have now, you might love this look and usage facility might not bother you. I don’t think an older person would be able to use this easily. The only thing that lets you know if it’s on or off is a light that shines for a moment when you tap it. There is delay in the action so you don’t know if you’ve actually turned it up higher or turned it off for a few seconds, so if you’re impatient like me and tap it again, you’ll probably accidentally turn it off and have to start all over again . Again, weird design, leaving you confused. Is very silent and that’s a big plus. It probably deserves one more star, but I’m too annoyed with the lack of the on and off clarity to increase my stars. Here’s an idea, how about somebody make a vintage looking air purifier with simple on off switches, make it look like a vintage radio. I bet that would be a big seller, the nice old-fashioned knobs. On and off. I have no idea how I’m going to change the filter when it’s time to change it, the whole thing is a mystery as to how it’s assembled, and I wish they would just include a few extra filters with the purchase so then you weren’t trying to figure out what kind of machine you have and which kind of filters to buy six months later. I’d be willing to pay extra to have the extra filters delivered with the purchase. If I sound annoyed it’s because I am. But I’m sure the machine is good quality. Updated review 9/11/24: The machine is actually silent on low. It’s been on all day and I didn’t even know it. You literally cannot hear it at all on its lowest setting. It also did a great job getting rid of a smell that was from something burned in my kitchen. So it is a very effective machine. I also now am wondering if the thing that I found fault with is actually a benefit to older people with arthritis if they cannot turn a knob, then just tapping the top might be very helpful to them. In fact, anyone with mobility issues could put this beside their bed and just tap it at night in the dark and it would be easy to use for them. Because it is silent, it will not work for you as a white noise machine. I’m now going to add a star. Xo

I put this in my office where the air always felt kinda stale. Within a day the room smelled cleaner and less dusty. It’s quiet on the lower setting, just a soft hum. The only thing I’d change is the power button is pretty sensitive and not extremely clear how to use. Not a big deal though. Good little purifier for a small space!

Absolutely love this air purifier. My husband learned that he was allergic to dogs when they started living with us and so I got one of these and one of the bigger ones and he has no problem breathing now! It has definitely kept allergies out of our house. Cleaning the fabric filter is not super fun but is pretty easy.

Works great, does its job. It’s not noisy at all on levels 1 and 2, but you can hear it on level 3. We started using it as a white noise machine on level 3 for my toddler’s nap time and it doubles in its features! Just have to remember to change the filters out every few months. You can tell how much it has filtered out which is awesome to know. Super easy to change too. It’s not complicated at all. We’ve actually had this for a while now and I’m just now writing a review. It has lasted us this long with no issues (Purchased March 2024 and changed filters on schedule)
