Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS

This is the 3rd BTS thing/merch that I have. I'm not a new army I've been one since 2018 and know a lot about BTS but even for someone who isn't a new army this book is amazing it tells you a lot about them and if you are a new army and want to know more about them I really recommend it. Totally worth buying.

💜 Beyond the Story tells their story behind the scenes, all their struggles and success throughout BTS' career. Rather than talking about the content of the book itself, which is a looooot, I want to talk about the way the book is made. 📖 The paper pages are of great quality. It is a hardback that weighs like 1.5kg... but when you open it, it stays open!! I had to use a pillow to be able to read it, though 😂 I liked the fact that they add QR codes throughout the pages, to check some of the content that is being discussed on those pages. There is content from their earlier days that I had never seen. It helps to see how they evolved into what they are today. It also has pictures of the guys before every chapter.

1) I love the way the SEVEN chapters have been organised in the book. I love the thoughts each one of the BTS's brothers shares with the readers. The explanations about the artistic process and inspirations when writing the songs and including some of the lyrics. The unseen previously photos. The stories BTS's memebers describe about their life together, growing up, the problems they have encountered, the painful moments, the ARMY, the Love and everything else. 2) I didn't like that the photocards were not in the book. The book is suposed to be wrapped and sealed in a plastic protective wrapping. It looked to me, someone has unrapped the book and taken the photocards. I am absolutely sure that the BTS agency will never do that. They do appreciate quality. 3) I would like to have my BTS's photocards, please. Thank you

I like BTS. Been a fan of them for years and decide to get this book. I'm happy with the quality. It's quite chunky as well. A good read for anyone interested in the group.

It would take many more pages than 400 to cover everything that's occured in the 10yrs+ of BTS journey, an incredibly challenging tasks. This book does an amazing job of taking us through the journey without getting lost down the many side happenings that occured. It is still a comprehensive account and worth reading whether you are an ARMY, casual fan or simply curious about this band that are so successful their band name has superceded what was a commonly used and widely used acronym. Hearing the thoughts and accounts of events in the members own words is invaluable for ARMY and perhaps eye-opening for everyone else. Definitely take your time with the book and go through the content linked through as well, from music to vlogs to magazine interviews. This book opens up the rich world of Bangtan to all.

Beyond The Story: 10-year record of BTS by Myeongseok Kang and BTS, translated by Anton Hur, Slin Jung & Clare Richards Filled with plenty of anecdotes and info direct from the members themselves, this book is an in-depth record of the group’s story that takes us from the beginning to the heights of their deserved successes. We journey through their vulnerable moments, and timely factors that contribute to their global stardom. It’s readable, accessible and engaging. Cleverly translated from the original voices, you can capture a sense of their true personalities through their words. There are QR codes that link to various video and online content that BTS have produced. Check them out - they really do enrich the reader's experience adding another layer to the narrative. I really hope others catch a glimpse of the true depths of love, dedication and mind blowing hard graft BTS put in to their team, and for their fans. Alongside supportive Bighit, and of course their families, I love how they still humbly acknowledge where they have come from and move forwards with reflective respect.

When I purchased this book, it was on special offer for around £7, so I feel I got a real good value purchase. Currently it's retailing for around £20 and for the quality, I do think it's a fair price. I do not believe it is worth the RRP of £40. As a BTS fan, I'm really enjoying it. There are some good articles / exclusive interviews that I've not seen before (although based on information readily available online) and some very nice glossy photos of the group. The printed quality is very good and the English translations seem well done (I presume this was originally mostly in South Korean). The only issue is the book feels very promotional (with nothimg exclusive, all internet links could be accessed without the book and links) - with clearly promotional album/single suggestions. The photos used are also Big Hit Entertainment's official photos of BTS, including several that are available as posters. Any fan would be pleased to have this book in their collection and it has some interesting topics.

I love them but haven’t bought any of their merch before but this was a great price. I like the messages they try to get across in their earlier songs. They are I’m sure a comfort and support to lots of teenagers who need to know they are enough, they are loved, cared about, thought of and that it’s ok if you’re not ok and also that those negative thoughts and feelings are just a moment and those moments will pass! They also treat the “army” as family, which is why they are die hard fans who will do almost anything for them, they also acknowledge that their “army” are the reason they are the biggest K-pop band in history who made it across the world!

I love the book. It came in a very good condition, no damage but a bit dirty however it's totally worth the price!!! The packaging could have been better, too.

As a BTS Army. This is a good source of information. Its directly from them, no edits no twisted words. This what we should believe and trust. I'm speaking as someone who has been there. This book is such a great read. BTS do such a good job at reliving and sharing their stories with us. They aren’t afraid to be honest and own their truth. I love the interactivity with the QR codes and how it takes you back in time. Truly amazing to see the blog posts or songs they posted 12 years ago, while they retell their experiences surrounding the content. I really recommend for anyone interested in understanding BTS’ history and their beginning. This story is one for the history books!!
