Not CSA certified. Will not be installed by certified gas fitter. So far having issues returning as it takes time to get installed on site. Etc.

We just bought a second house that had an unheated 320 sq ft "porch" with walls & windows along the back of the house. Its a very small house snd we wanted to be able to use the space year round. This heater is rated for an 1100 square ft room. We've never had it above low and it heats the space perfectly. Cost twice as much to have the gas line added to the porch, but it was worth it. Easy to use. Has a regulator so it turns off when the temp is reached. Would buy again!

We purchased this Procom ventless stove fireplace to replace our old propane wall mount unit in our bathroom (about 150 sq feet). Overall we're very happy with this fireplace - it's easy to use, produces a lot of heat, and looks great. A few notable items on the backend of the install - Ensure you or your installer read the manual completely prior to install and comply with all local ordinances and safety regulation - Assembly is very easy, where you simply attach the feet to the unit with the included screws, remove the front grate temporarily by removing the two mounting screws, install the replica logs, and replace the grate - The logs are very light - I was expecting them to be heavy ceramic (like a coffee mug), however they're much lighter. I nearly discarded one with the separate box they came in because I didn't see it wrapped and taped to the inside. All the logs arrived intact - The fuel hookup for the stove is parallel with the floor. This was a slight issue for me, as the unit I was replacing had a hookup that was perpendicular. For propane, the unit uses the standard 3/8" flare fitting - Ensure your installer uses flare fittings and either brass or black pipe (not galvanized) and both thread tape (should be yellow thread tape, not the standard white) and thread sealant to ensure a proper seal/no leaks - When first firing up the unit, the regulator knob on the front of the unit needs to be held down in the "pilot" setting for 30-60 seconds to purge the gas line of air - When using the unit, it's recommended to either have a vent fan running in the room or a dehumidifier, as depending on how long you run it, it will produce some moisture from the combustion of gas The unit heats the space it's in within minutes and the automatic thermostat does its job and shuts off once the room reaches temperature. The unit seems well-built, and we haven't had to contact support. Should we do so in the future, I'll be sure to update this review.

Beautiful, exceptional heating. The stove is installed in the basement and provides heating upstairs as well. Yes the thermostat works perfectly for our house.

ProCom really surprised me with this one. I was planning on using this little fireplace as a supplemental heat source, but have been using it instead as our primary, bypassing using our oil furnace altogether. It's currently 35 degrees outside and this fireplace, mounted in the center room downstairs, is keeping the temperature at a steady 68-70 degrees. It is currently set at the #2 setting; we haven't used it above that setting yet. Keep in mind this is only a 25,000btu fireplace and our house isn't massive. In a larger house I'd expect different results. With this fireplace burning and a ceiling fan on low for circulation, this ProCom unit is a great choice for anyone looking for supplemental heat, or even primary heating in smaller areas. Installation was simple, it looks good, works well. It has also been quite fuel efficient. I'm hoping ProCom has a higher BTU output series of fireplaces. I'd like to give them my business again and get something in the 50,000btu range to truly ensure a warm house on even the coldest of Pennsylvania winter days. I'm already planning to add another of this same unit to my workshop.
