I was sceptical, I shouldn’t have been. These have transformed my setup
I have been on the fence with acoustic decoupling foam speaker pads for years. That said my Yamaha HS7 monitors suffer from a low frequency resonance in my room, usually around the 150 to 200Hz. Given the space I would prefer to use proper stands, but instead the speakers sit on a wood shelf which itself is supported on metal legs on the rear of my desk. Although the speakers are more or less at ear level, I have needed to use the low frequency cut switch on them to reduce an bass resonance and muddy bottom end. After much research and eventually dismissing similar low cost options, I decided to bite the bullet and try these highly rated pads from Auralex. To begin with I used both the base pieces and angle wedge pieces, which increases the height of the speakers by about 5cm or 2 inches. The MoPad-XLs are a perfect fit for the HS7 speakers and they don’t cover the illuminated logos at the front.Despite being made from compliant foam, the pads are surprisingly rigid and easily support the heavy 8kg HS7s without deforming. They provide enough friction so as not to slide about, but they can still be slowly nudged with care to aid fine tune positioning. The difference these have made to the sound have really surprised me. I was not expecting to hear a great difference, but it has significantly improved my audio monitoring setup. Most importantly the lower frequency is no longer exaggerated and I can even turn off the low frequency cut switches on the speakers. There are no longer resonances at low frequencies from my desk or computer, even at higher volumes. Another benefit of the raised height is that the tweeters are more aligned with my ear line, giving a perceivable improvement in sound stage and definition.Of course results will differ for individual setups. For me however they definitely justify the price and the two-part design allows experimenting with angling the speakers up or down. Hopefully the foam will last many years and not self-destruct like some foam products can.

Actually really good with definite improved sound quality
Bought these to replace some spikes I had screwed on the bottom of my old speakers-Wharfedale Modus 6 from the 90's. Not the most refined.... Also to angle the speakers slightly up. I didn't want stands as the cat would knock them over, probably, but wanted tweeters pointing at my head.It has definitely improved stereo imaging from pointing up and less boomy on the bass even compared to spikes. I can play louder than before without my wife shouting from the other room to turn it down! Stands may have achieved same result but would be more expensive and 'in your face'. The foam is very dense and sturdy and the speakers are very firm and not remotely wobbly. It's better for the floor than the spikes were and easier to move about. On balance definitely worth it compared to buying stands and they look very resilient so should last a long time. Made my old speakers sound better so extended their life as well. Not the cheapest but was a perfect fit and you get the quality you pay for.

Don’t know how I managed without them!
Really tightens up the bottom end. No more mechanical vibration transmission down through the desk.

Five Stars
Son is very happy. But I was shocked, as a lot of money for pieces of form

Beautiful item.
I stupidly meant to order the XL size so I am posting this back. However, I have used these before and they are amazing. Put two together and they are perfect to go under a centre speaker. Great value and really do isolate the speaker perfectly.
