Is this also the bobbin case needed for the MC 6300 for free motion quilting?

According to Janome, this is the model number of what will fit the MC 6300. http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/machines/Sewing-Quilting/MC6300. From what I can tell, if it fits the 6500 and 6600 it fits the 6300 as well.

Is this the one that is for machines with a thread cutter? Will it work with a singer studio s19? Thank you

I use this in my Janome 6600P and it does have a thread cutter. I don’t know if it will work with a Singer.

I've always free motioned (20+ quilts) with my regular bobbin case. It needs replacing. What is the difference between this and standard one?

I would use the regular bobbin case unless you had a special circumstance. I have had great success with the regular case doing free motion quilting. I know of a free motion instructor who has a Janome and says that the regular bobbin case is just fine. I've been occasionally buying the odd accessory or presser foot for my new sewing machine while they are available. I only bought a low tension case as a standby in case I need it for a special circumstance in the future, though it may be totally unnecessary.

Just what I needed!!

I quilt my quilts on my regular sewing machine. Even done king sized on my 1090 Bernina. Decided time to upgrade to machine with larger throat area so decided on Janome Memory Craft 8200 QCP. As long as I used walking foot and did straight stitches they were fine. But as soon as I free motioned the tension was horable. After reading and research found out I needed a BLUE ARROW bobbin case. Why doesn't Janome add it to the package when you're buying a machine for quilting??? Anyway this is what I needed. Tried it out on practice piece first and stiches are great!! Now ready to get after the quilt. Yes, this bobbin is worth it and buy the way my machine does automatically cut thread. So no problem there!!

Makes all the difference with the tension.

I couldn't get the tension right for free motion quilting and read that changing to the blue dot bobbin case might fix that problem. I put the bobbin case in and have had no problems with the tension since. This fix should be in machine manuals; it would save a lot of frustration for quilters.

Its ok, but not necessary

Not all that useful since I can FMQ without it but it IS useful to have a spare that you can manually adjust for your specialty thread.I use the one that came with the machine most of the time, and change to this one when using a particular thread that doesn't play nice with the regular case. Adjustment is easy, set it and sew.
