This is not my favorite for my skin type (upper 40s, combination skin, Caucasian). Even after shaking, it has the consistency of water, so it is difficult to apply. It also didn't absorb that well and left my skin feeling pretty tacky. Finally, I didn't notice any difference in my skin tone or texture. It gets three stars for being fragrance free and for the ingredients in it.

The THANKYOU FARMER Rice 2-in-1 Ampoule is an odorless, creamy, lightweight, gentle, hydrating rice-focused serum. I'm going to say serum, as the term serum and ampoules are often interchangeably used in the US. I've seen varying definitions trying to explain the differences, and they often contract one another. Ultimately, you would use this in the same stage of your skincare regime, after cleansing and toning, and before your moisturizer (and SPF in the AM). If you like using multiple treatments or serums, the rule of thumb is to go from thinnest to thickest consistency.I digress. This one is water and sweet almond oil based (listed first and second, thus highest concentrations) before rice and very runny. As this product will separate, you will want to carefully shake it up before drawing the product into the wand for application. Good application, spreadability, and absorption. No sticky, greasy, or shiny residue.I would have preferred rice water as the first ingredient but water and sweet almond oil are suitable for nearly all skin types, including acne prone and sensitive. It is a wonderful all-in-one as they've included other skin-suitable ingredients like niacinamide (B3), hyaluronic acid, and a few fermented elements. No added fragrance or weird essential oils. A hint on the expensive side but in line with the brand's usual pricing model for their products.Again, I would likely gravitate towards purchasing rice serums I've used before at the same price point that do use rice extract as the first ingredient over water. Otherwise, this is a nice one to try. Fine for AM and PM use. It shouldn't cause any irritation, rashes, breakouts, or flares unless you are allergic to things like apples, rice, almond oil, etc.

I like this a lot, I think it's slowly working but I'm excited about it. Read the instructions because the first time I used it I emptied the entire pipet and it says to only do about 3 drops. However, I still don't listen to that. At night I do close to the entire pipet, rub it on my palms, and then tap it on my face. This product will make you look oily if you use to much so in the morning I use about 5 drops. Still a lot but I feel like it's hard to get the product everywhere with 3 drops unless I'm really dragging it across my face and I don't want that. It feels very nice. It almost doesn't have a scent. I has a hint of a scent of something similar to rice water. I do feel that this has helped with hydration and I will continue to use and see if it helps with other things as well!
