15 min of in depth video review. What a beast!
The media could not be loaded. Dear, all,What a beauty of a watch. At first glance, the visual difference is not that major. Same colour, the same grooves but there is only one button that sticks out and another one that is flushed with the side of the watch. The main difference is that the side button that is sticking out is turning and you can use that function to scroll up and down. The bracelet is now 24 mm, the old version was 22 mm. There is a ceramic sensor on the back of the watch that does more than the previous version. The watch has a speaker that you can have set to ring when you get calls or notifications. The quality of the call when you talk from the watch is good and the caller has no issues hearing you. There is no independent LTE function which means you cannot have a different number on your watch. The watch is reliable on your phone and the Bluetooth connectivity.Summary of the watch + 2 main positive aspects:The two main aspects are battery life and the quality of the system. So in the video, I told you that I had charged my watch at 11 a.m. on Sunday and on Wednesday at 5 p.m. I had 30% of the battery left. Actually, I had 20% left around 8 pm. During these 4 days, I had the wifi activated (for an upgrade) for about 12 hours. Every day I had Bluetooth for nearly 10 hours. At home, I turn everything off because I am not using the watch. From 11 pm to 5:30 am the watch is in stand-by mode which saves a lot of battery. The dual display is also updated with a new layout and new functions. From the scrolling key, you can swipe through all the displays that will show various information. The second part is the quality of the system. The watch has no lag, no issues, and nothing detected. At this moment at this written review I had my watch for 5 days and everything went smoothly. The watch has a lot of functions like O2 level, pulse, compass, altimeter, barometer, stress level, and sleep tracking. Also if you have Mobvoi's treadmill you can pair your watch and monitor your progress. There are plenty of tracking activities to choose from. The watch quickly detects what are you doing, running, power walking, or cycling and the speed of detection is impressive. I have to test other types of sports to see how accurate this is.There is a new software that allows you to connect your watch to your phone. There are new watch faces, but more can be installed via the TimeShow app.The watch has WearOS 3 by Google and from the first minute of using it, you can tell there are a lot of improvements. Smooth transitions, no lag, new layout. Overall is a big improvement. GPS is here and it is fairly accurate, but this depends on your connectivity with the satellites. All notifications are nicely displayed and you get more info than before. You can have WhatsApp installed and the layout of the app is similar to the one on the phone. In the video, you get more details about that. One downside that may or may not be changed is the fact that the watch has no Google Assistant. If the old version had this watch does not have one. What I would like to see from Mobvoi is to give us the option of customising the bracelet and creating a miniature ecosystem for this beautiful device. On the old version TicWatch 3 Pro Ultra, I could see my emails from Gmail, and FB Messenger, but with this one, I could not figure out how to install Gmail on it. It seems that I cannot find it on PlayStore.Overall the good aspects are many and this is a great viable choice for an Android SmartWatch. If you are not bothered about Google Assistant this is an excellent choice.

THE best WearOS watch out there!
I had the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra since December 2021 and it's still going strong. Just decided I needed an upgrade coming up to the 2yr mark and it was an obvious choice to stay within the Mobvoi range due to their reliability, so it was a no brainer to chose this watch to upgrade too. And I wasn't wrong! The watch arrived in a different packaging than the last iterations and it's something small, but I loved it. A long, thin box meaning that it laid flat during transit. Inside the box, came the watch (straps already fitted), along with the newer USB Quick Charge Cable and the manuals.Battery Life - almost 3 days in full digital mode. And that's using the watch for phone calls, replying to messages, notifications, health tracking and Google Pay (or Wallet as it's now called). I mean, that is seriously impressive. What I think sets the TicWatch range above most, if not all, other Smartwatch manufactures is the dual screen. The Ultra Low Power screen operates most of the times as an Always-On Display. By raising your arm/wrist, the watch will illuminate with a colour depending on your heart rate (nice touch!). The actual shiny, smart watch face is only visible when you actually need it. This really helps the true almost 3 day battery life (in my case) work perfectly.Apps and Performance - The new Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1, along with 2GB RAM makes this a worthy upgrade from my last TicWatch alone. The watch is snappy, not laggy in any way. Waking up from essential mode takes around 4 - 5 seconds, a massive improvement from my last TicWatch. Opening and closing apps just works. Having Google Play available is a huge thing for me. Being able to download apps directly onto the watch, without having to utilise my phone when I am out and about is fantastic. Having a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, I am always worried about dropping it when in a rush at the shops, or just wanting to quickly check why my phone notified me. But being able to open basic apps (Maps, Payments, Spotify, Stocard, WhatsApp (FULL WHATSAPP!) and SMS messages from my wrist within seconds is a breeze. Strangely, there is no Google Assistant with this watch though. Having looked, it appears to be only on Google/Samsung watches, but cannot find anything that says it's an exclusive option to them but it is something I miss as I run a complete smarthome ecosystem.Health Tracking - Not something I usually use a lot of, but I am pretty sure Mobvoi have upgraded and facelifted their health tracking apps. It's a lot more refined, cleaner and easy to use. There is an app, out of the box, to sync Mobvoi into or out of other heath tracking apps like Samsung or Google Fit, which appears to work really well too. The heartrate tracking seems to be spot on too. TicOxygen is another app I have found really useful too, which I now have running 24/7. There are quite a few TicApps includes, some would call this bloatware and it's mildly annoying to have to scroll through them all - Maybe something Mobvoi can combine into a single or few apps?Other features - The digital crown is brilliant. Responsive, quick and seamless. Makes using the watch a lot better than my previous TW 3. Fast charging is true fast charging. Showing the charge percentage as a decimal number is actually quite cool too. The watch is comfortable and although it's bigger than my last watch I do not notice that. I don't find myself moving or adjusting the strap or shaking my wrist as I wear this watch either. The black watch, with a red circle around the digital crown is perfect - Black and Red is certainly my dual colour choice - Something really small, but worth mentioning.I am not sure when the next Mobvoi watch will be coming - But they have a lot of work to do if they think they can beat the TicWatch Pro 5. It's a brilliant watch, with brilliant features at a brilliant price point. If you are in the market for a new WearOS watch and have a Android device (it's not compatible with iOS) then look no further than this watch. Honestly, you will not be disappointed.

Good looking smart watch with good battery life but not worth it as an activity tracker.
I have owned and used this watch for over a year. I paid £200 for it shortly after it came out. When I can afford it I will upgrade to a more serious activity tracker. It looks great, feels heavy and has high build quality. It's Fine if you just want to count steps or check notifications /use as a smart watch and has great battery life but it's just not up to tracking outdoor activity. I cycle, walk or run with it and it's not up to the job. GPS takes a long time to locate your start point when beginning an activity. Often loses it during activity. Crashes or restarts mid activity losing your record of what you have done. It's now much cheaper and if you want a quality smart watch with great battery life it's probably worth it but as an activity tracker it fails often.
