Wireless Carplay Adapter, Converts Wired to Wireless Carplay Dongle for Wireless Control Plug & Play Carplay Fit for Cars 2016 & for Apple iPhone iOS 10+

The seamless use of CarPlay adapter is wonderful. I abundantly recommend to anyone who still has to "deal with" the wired connection to buy and use this product. I was having trouble with my phone connecting to CarPlay with the wired connection. Then boom! I have not had any connectivity issues at all. Initial set up was plug and play. It came along with an adapter as well. I have not lost a reduction in sound quality, if anything it has been enhanced. Great product. For anyone who has a wired connection say goodbye and then hello to this wireless option.

I literally plugged it into my car, paired it with my phone and it worked. I like I don’t have to use wires to connect my phone to apple play. It’s small and simple to install.After 3 months of use I have noticed that I am not alerted to calls or texts. I see I missed a call when it flashes briefly on the vehicle screen but end up having to play phone tag with whoever calls me. I find this very annoying. I have called both Apple and Buick to discuss the situation but after many calls I have realized its this adapter. It works fine with everything else but you will miss calls and text alerts.I bought this in Aug of 23 and as of Nov of 23 it has almost completely stopped working. I could drive over the slightest bump and it comes out of the adaptor in the usb in my car . That’s when it decides to come on. Avoid and get something different.

Had the wireless CarPlay adapter for over a week now. It works well with my car’s infotainment system & syncs with my phone as soon as I get in my car as long as my Bluetooth is on. Had no issues pairing it. I had accidentally bought the mirroring device, but returned it when I realized my mistake & received a refund quickly & then purchased the correct adapter. Wish I would’ve known about this product in 2020 when I first purchased my new vehicle. So glad I don’t have to use a long cord anymore to use my Apple CarPlay. This is definitely worth the investment. Affordable & good quality.

What I found was then when I used this carplay wireless dongle, AND my phone was already paired with bluetooth, I had unpredictable results. Once I unpaired my phone from bluetooth, and just use this wireless carplay dongle, it works 100% of the time, super consistent! I love using wireless carplay for short trips. I just keep the phone in my pocket and this dongle connects perfectly to my polestar2, which currently does not support wireless carplay. I’m getting another for my other car.

I bought this product along with other similar devices. It held its own, compared to them but I ultimately did not keep any of them because the delay involved with phone calls became too distracting. On the positive side, the connectivity was good, so was the reliability and ease of use. The call late might just be based on the current state of technology within the industry.

Overall the device was simple to set up and paired to my phone and 2023 Honda Ridgeline easily enough. Upon installation my apple phone kept on dropping the blue tooth connection with the vehicle but after a few tries the connection held. Since then it has worked automatically every time the phone is brought into the truck cab.Our other vehicle is a Ford Focus with Ford’s Sync 3 Infotainment system from 2017. We have not been able to get this device to work in that car and it was returned. Not sure if it was a faulty device or if the age of the vehicle’s equipment had anything to do with it. That said, when it works it seems to work well.

My list doesn’t really have likes. My interest in this was just to connect wirelessly. However, at first it worked as expected but after a few connects, it won’t connect for a long time, and then won’t connect at all. Spiraled into a failure. It’s been more than a year that I have tried to work with it multiple times and I just want to throw it out coz I can’t return it anymore.

Works good.2 quirks that I have found.1. The radio unit in my truck will sometimes not play sound right away, I have to reassign the Bluetooth feature on my radio.2. The smart dongle will stay active on my phone, even when I am in the house. It will sometimes pull my calls that I am on, into the Bluetooth on the radio in the truck.But overall is does as advertised and is very convenient.Eric
