I'm about to say something i never imagined I'd be saying, but holy cow this is an interesting and delicious rice. I throw this in my budget rice cooker set for long grain, and in less than an hour of cook time, I have a rice that is an incredibly nutritious complement to nearly any meal, that is also both delicious and affordable! The grain size is perfect, the taste is complex and nutty, and the color is analysis striking. Could not be more satisfied with this rice. I made shrimp scampi tossed with tangy fresh hibiscus flowers for some guests recently, and THE RICE got more comments than the plump, perfectly cooked shrimp.

First of all, social media has put their 2¢ in with inaccurate imfo. The package suggests 2-2 1/2 c water in a rice cooker--I used 2 1/4 and perfection. Social media suggests water of anywhere from 1 c to 3/4 c--which is great if you like crunchy rice--not. If u cook in a different fashion please just use the package directions This is gorgeous, tasty rice. Beautiful to serve and very healthy Plus, very important, arsenic levels are low and if u don't know what I'm talking about look it up--especially if you're feeding kids. Just made a pot and added roasted mushrooms, scallions and tamari with toasted sesame seed oil--my friends devoured it--so a success. Enjoy, this iss phenomenal rice.

I really like this rice! Great taste, texture and nutritional value!! If I make more than I need, I freeze it and pull it out for an easy, super quick addition to another meal.

Deliciously nutty flavor and vibrant color. Cooks up fluffy and makes every meal feel gourmet. High antioxidant bonus. Just a bit pricey.

OMG I have been avoiding rice so much Im so glad I originally saw these at Costco. But once they ran out I was happy to see that Amazon actually sold the dry grains. I like cooking Jasberry Rice in my rooker because I can control the amount of water way more since the grains will soak up all the water while in the cooker as opposes to just being reheated in the microwave, although I did like the pouches for their taste and convenience as well. The pouch rice is bad, just that the self-made rice cooker version is better. I also love that this rice is packed with protein, I really feel full after just a bowl, and there is a slight nutty taste and crunch to the kernels which is a great sensation when you bite into it. I hope this rice takes off because I definitely want to see them make it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love this product. I heard a lot of nutritional value about it. I was curious if what purple would taste like I’m still curious about that but all kidding aside it was wonderful. I would definitely purchase it again and it held up good a little softer than white rice, but I’m probably the only one that notices that even if you’re putting it in the fridge, it held its quality firmly for days. I like it. My service dog likes it. I highly recommend this product get more nutrition in your rice. This is the way to do it More purple eat more purple natural things and good day everyone.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Such delicious and nutritious rice!! Better price than the super market and very quick delivery...easier than going to look for it also...I frequently do not find this rice in a normal supermarket. GREAT PRODUCT!!

I thought this product would be similar to purple Thai rice, but the flavor is more savory. Still considerably more nutritious than brown rice, but will go back to black rice/forbidden rice, which is a bit more expensive, but more toward the flavor profile I was looking for.
