cuzile Set of 3 Solar Outdoor Garden Hanging Tree Cornet Cone LED Lights

After a couple of misfires with other products, I came across these "cornets". I wanted something to light up the tree where my bird feeders hang, to encourage the birds in at dusk. I was very dubious that something solar would throw out much light, but since the lights were only there for the birds, I wasn't too worried. The hanging loops are made from white string, so I expect that will be the first thing to perish. They'd probably last a lot longer if a bit of thought had gone in to that.When the item arrived, after some initial fiddling to get the lids off to access the power switch, I left all the lights in the sun to charge up, hung them over the branches with bird feeders, and left them. Went into the house, went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night. Suddenly realised the garden was lit up, and I could make my way to the bathroom without needing to put the lights on. These little cornets were so bright that I could see everything. Not glaringly bright, because nobody wants that at 3am, but a comfortable level of light that you didn't have to squint. Added bonus!Leaving the lights in place each day seems to replenish the charge well, and I've never needed to move them to get more sunlight, even with them living under branches and leaves.If you do decide you need to turn them off, just open the lids up and use the switch to turn the power off. I'll probably do this when winter comes, because they are still plastic, and I don't want them getting damaged. Although they are really nicely constructed and durable, I don't want to risk it.Really pleased with this item - I've added another set to my Amazon wishlist.

The lights look good, are nice and bright and stay on a long time. However, one of the three lights does not work correctly which is a shame, I notice there is a similar comment in an earlier review.UpdateI was contacted by Safield Dist Ltd a couple of days after writing this review. They are sending me a replacement for the faulty light. With three working lights I would give this product five stars and appreciate the response from Safield.

I am happy with this product to date although initially disappointed as only 2 out of three worked. Was at the point of contacting the supplier when i wiggled the light bulb about and hey presto on it came. I am taking the chance that I have resolved the situation permanently! They let off a very good amount of light and look lovely in my tree so I thin the are good value for money [provided they stay working].

Not great as they only lasted around a month before they stopped working, they should be in a sealed unit but when we have opened them there is condensation inside which has most likley stopped them from working. They did look nice when they did work though.

seems ok for winter when not much sun works for 2 hours or so. so hope with plenty of summer sunshine it will be good. lovely soft light almost lilac /.very nice

This is the second time I get these lamps. I ordered them again, because had test different ones last time, and, by far, these are the best ones!!! Strongest light, they are the only ones to stay active during almost all the night, nice design. Very happy with them!!

The cones shine really bright at night and look great, however the reason I have only given them 3 stars is that it has to be really dark before they activate, I would've considered ordering several more if they activated as the light was going instead of complete darkness - which kind of defeats the object if you are socialising outdoors!

A mixed performance from the three cone lights.I assembled them all and positioned as advised. The first evening 2 of the lights worked well , No3 did not work at all.On examination I noticed one of the flimsy wires had come away at the soldering point- so a friend soldered it back on for me.Next evening it worked fine but a different one did not work. I took it apart as carefully as I could but on opening it up , boththe red and black wires had fallen off at the soldered connections.So, I hope to get this fixed as before.It appears that the wiring inside is very weak and flimsily held at connection points and the slightest bit of pressure in the wrong placerenders them useless.Good when they work !Edit to above review( 24/9/13)I have since had further communication from the supplier-Salfield Ltd.They appreciated my comments and immediately forwarded a replacementset of three lights, free of charge due to the problem I had.The new set work perfectly and I am very grateful to the company fortheir prompt and efficient service.Very good lights.
