I love the way it feels in my hand. Easy to operate. Not too long, not too short. Sturdy construction that looks tight and resilient. Works wonderful on my cats, both long hairs and my short hairs. I tried it on my little dog (Yorky/Dashound mix) who has 2 inch long hairs, and when I went to operate it to have it push the hairs out, at first there was a little resistance. But that is because dog hair is coarser than cat hair. Cat hair pushes out easy Peezy. I would highly recommend this brush for cats. Pay no intention to the negative reviews because one lady apparently took her brush apart and broke it. I do not see how it's designed to be taken apart at all. This is a great brush for cats. They feel like they're being petted. My cats all liked it and they all have different personalities. I have one cat who just has thick hair and pulling the hair out of my old brush with sharp bristles was painful to my fingers. I LOVE THIS BRUSH with soft knobs that will not irritate your cat's skin and the hair just pushes right out when you manipulate the button. If you're looking for a good brush for your cats, I highly recommend this brush!

My kitties were in need of a different brush, and I wanted to try the easy to clean brushes. I bought 4 total, including the Amuca and Parakay brushes. This one turned out to be the most liked and enjoyed by my cats. It also picks up the most hair. The other 3 did not pick up and remove hair as good as this one. The downfalls are: 1) the plastic is hard on the back of the brush, so when my kitties move their heads backward a bit trying to get brushed more, it hits their head. If probably doesn't hurt much because they keep coming back for more, but I wish it had a little rubber or something made from a slight shock absorbent material, like the for mats I use in my kitchen. Just something to keep it from banging against their skull 2) when you go to remove the hair, you really have to mash hard in the button to get it to work properly and lock into place, but you can leave the brush closed with the bristles tucked in for protection around little kids, and that's a VERY GOOD thing 3) when you remove the hair, you do have many stragglers you have to mess with because they stick to the plastic - not a big deal, but noticeable The good bonuses: 1) both kitties love the brush, including the one who has always been scared to be brushed 2) really picks up hair from both the undercoat and top coat - great for coming summer shedding months 3) the end of the bristles have protective balls covering them, so that wires are running against their skin and faces - if you watch my video then you will see what I mean because I certainly don't want to scratch one of their eyes or cut them because the bristles are rough and possible dangerous like other brushes 4) did I mention BOTH CATS LOVE THIS BRUSH and want to be brushed all the time - I just shake the brush and say their names and they come a running for some special treatment My recommendation is that you purchase this brush and at least give it a shot. If your kitties aren't happy (and you too), I'm sure you know or can find the return policy. Purchase! Thumbs up!

First I’ll say I like this brush because it’s easy to clean the hair off and that is nice and also the wires have coated tips to protect your dogs skin. I have used this brush for a year now and it’s held up pretty good besides some of the wires are bending on the brush but that’s okay. The brush is a good price and does the job. Gets a good amount of hair off my dog. I usually use an under coat brush first and then this one second.

I have a long haired calico cat and was using a brush that was well over ten years old. I was noticing tangles in her fur so ordered this brush. In just two weeks her tangles are gone and her fur is silky and smooth. Wish I had bought this sooner. She now loves our brushing sessions and allows me to do this for a longer period of time. AND, so easy to clean!

We got this for our new Border Collie (1 year old) and it works great!

I'm not sure how long this brush will hold up. The ejector mechanism isn't all that well-made, and doesn't always lock in place, but so far it seems to be doing the trick for grooming the dog, and the design idea is a good one because it's simple to clean/clear.

Received this item 20 minutes ago and I love it so much I had to review it right away! It is lightweight and feels sturdy in the hand, and it’s super easy to clean. I tried it on both of my pets. One is a bichon, the other is a long-haired cat. My bichon normally tolerated brushing, but with our old brush, you could tell it would catch him. This new one has the coated plastic ends on the tines, so it doesn’t catch his skin like the other one did. He sat for me much longer and I was able to even use it on his legs (which he usually hates getting brushed/combed). Upon pressing the button in to retract the times, his fur didn’t pop off the brush, but it glided off with one swipe. Our cat’s fur just dropped into the bin. He didn’t really like getting brushed, but he’s a cranky feline to begin with. It took out gobs of loose fur strands. Gobs! And now my sinuses are acting up, but it saves it from being all over my furniture and irritating me more later. Wonderful product! I hope that a smaller version will be made for use around the ears and face. That would be helpful for my fluffy dog.

My little dog, Lucy, seems to enjoy this brush. Helps with her shedding. Easy to clean.

Great quality, works well. Has a retractable pins button so that the bristles can be pulled back into container head before storing it, which helps clean/ remove hair from pins easily and also avoid pins from getting bent.

My dog was .oulting really bad she had 2 coats the underneath coat and a long hair on top got all of it out would highly recommend

This is a lovely brush, I bought it because my old one was falling apart, it's the first time I've had a self cleaning one, it's so much easier to use, the hair came straight off. My dog was tangle free and happy.
