This blanket is SUPER soft, and I really like it for the most part. Call me crazy, but even adults want a glow in the dark blanket from time to time. What I found was that even though the blanket is lightweight, it conserves heat really well, so I’ve been really cozy every time I’ve used this blanket.I like the design, but the glow in the dark elements are made in a less comfortable, rough material. I tried to show the difference in material in the pictures - it’s not quite scratchy but the feeling is close. It doesn’t bother me, but for skin-sensitive or picky children, this blanket is probably gonna bother them.It does actually glow in the dark, but only if all of the lights are completely out. I have lights out of my window that never go off and the curtain never blocks the light well enough, so I never see the glow in the dark sleeping regularly.A fun discovery I had though was going under the blanket and flipping it down with me, so the glow in the dark is underneath the blanket. The blanket blocks out enough light that it feels like you are looking under the stars. I’d suggest doing this with your kids, it makes the blanket a lot more special!

My son loves his blankets, and this one is probably one of his favorites. I like how soft it feels.

The dinosaur blanket is so nice for a dino enthusiast like our grandson. We found that it will glow in the dark if you expose it to sunlight or bright, direct light for at least 20-30 minutes, but you have to take it into a really dark room and give it a minute. If the bedroom has a nearby window, leave it exposed to light during the day for best results. The blanket is fuzzy and soft, but very lightweight, so it’s not meant to take the place of a comforter in really cold weather. It is nice for a cozy evening watching tv or as a light throw in warmer months. The actual dinosaur designs are a different material than the throw. They are the part that glows and are made of stiffer material.

This blanket is incredibly soft and my 2-year-old outer space loving kiddo loves this. We have not noticed it glowing in the dark, however, we also haven't been good about making sure it gets light to be able to test.My main gripe with this blanket is the astronaut and star shapes. The material they are made with is fairly scratchy and a very different texture than the soft blanket itself. If these were softer or had a less noticeable change in texture, I would rate this higher. It just doesn't seem like something you would want to have brush against your skin and is a big contrast from the other parts of the blanket.

I struggled with the number of stars for this review because, overall, I really like this blanket! I'm just lucky that my son wasn't too bothered by the glowing factor. I almost gave 4 stars, but just for the fact that if someone was buying it because it glows, I feel like they would be extremely disappointed and I felt like I needed to drop a star for that:( It DOES NOT charge with artificial light, in our experience. It MUST have sunlight and we've only gotten it to partially glow once or twice in the couple of months we've had it. Other than the glowing issues, this blanket is really nice!! The material is quality and feels like it will hold up to abuse from my active kiddos for a long time. The dinosaurs feel more like a stiff embroidery type feel on one side of the blanket, but the other side is soft all the way through, even on the dinosaur shape sections.

Kids love it and it's very cute. It's a bit on the thinner side. Not a problem for me, but just something to be aware of.

I got this blanket for my 3 year old. It’s soft and well made. It’s lightweight and long enough to go on his bed, but I will be using it to cover him up ind his carseat this winter or to snuggle on the couch. It doesn’t really glow in the dark, but that doesn’t matter. You can never have enough blankets for little kids.
