No, I haven't found that to be the case at all, and I often have trouble with straps being too short even when they're adjustable. There's nothing I would describe as tight on this bra. Very comfortable. The only criticism I have is that there's a band of lace sewn around the bottom band that tends to roll up. very comfortable bra, though. I have several.

Runs small. Item is very itchy and scratchy. I should have sent it back for a refund.

Q: Is the bra padded in the front?

No. There are no removable pads either. The material is kind of thicker though. Almost like it has two layers of material.
