Functional and Stylish
This wall plate is was large enough to cover the large hole left by my previous thermostat, and also includes a mounting bracket that I needed to mount my nest on to the light switch box that was used to mount my old thermostat. The wall plate matches my white nest thermostat and is stylish too.

Exact copy of the OEM but cheaper
Absolutely indistinguishable from the OEM version. I have them both side by side. Personally I don't like the convex shape but that's a style point so still 5 stars.

It actually comes with all the necessary parts to install over a large hole or electric box.
This one did come with the metal plate which made installation very easy over an existing electrical box. It has the metal wall plate, plastic backing plate and necessary screws to complete the installation. I ordered two other google nest backing plates, from other companies and had to return them, because they didn't come with the metal wall plate as pictured on the amazon website. This one definitely did. I returned the other two backing plates and got my refund from amazon. There was lot of wasted postage and shipping supplies since the other two suppliers didn't include the metal mounting plate even though they pictured it on Amazons website. Have confidence ordering from this company because they send you the right stuff.

Terrible design. Does not look like photo. Don’t waste your money
Does not look like advertised photo at all. Terrible design. The plate curves AWAY from the wall instead of toward it, creating a very nice crevice to collect dust. You also can’t flip it because other markings on the plate would then be exposed. Don’t waste the money.

Best fit and a value to your design
It fit perfectly for old manual thermostat holes and no need to add new holes for Google nest, it’s fits perfectly added good looking to the nest
