Great ice maker
I wanted something that wasn’t huge so it could sit it on my counter top. It is a little noise when it’s emptying, but that because I have an open concept so I can hear it operating. That’s when I simply turn it off and then restart later. It’s quick to make ice so that’s not a problem. This is not for a large family or crowd if you want a lot of ice at one time. I got the stainless model and it complements my appliances very well. Easy to use and compact enough to take along or store. Great price and quality. Definitely recommend! Also… there is a film protector on the stainless models incase you are unclear about the color selection as I’ve read in the reviews.

Great Product
great counter top unit, works as advertised, great price, compact design, easy to clean, we empty ofton and store ice in freezer, needs a area where it can ventilate as it produces heat from the fan, will buy again if needed

As good as this approach gets
I bought this countertop ice maker because our fridge version had stopped working right when the weather first started to get warm and we needed more ice on hand. It is a fine example of the genre — reliable, quiet, etc. and I would recommend this item AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND THE MANY LIMITATIONS IN HOW THIS MACHINE — and all others like it — ACTUALLY WORK.1. They do NOT keep cubes that have fallen into the bin cold. That means these cubes will start to melt almost immediately unless you transfer them to a freezer ASAP.2. This unit makes just 9 cubes at a time. It takes about an hour to process all the water you’ve put in if you fill it to the “Max Fill” line.3. The first 1-2 batches of cubes are always undersized, esp. the very first one. That’s because it takes a cycle of two for the workings to become cold enough to produce full-size cubes.4. Because the cubes are formed around little rods, all the cubes have holes in the center. This makes them melt a lot faster in drinks, etc. than regular cubes from a fridge ice maker, etc.5. Because newly made cubes need to be removed ASAP, making ice requires you be around and vigilant for the full hour+ it takes to process all the water.6. One “Max Line” cycle produces enough ice to just half-fill your typical refrigerator ice maker bin.I’m retired and these processing / output issues aren’t that big of a deal for me. But if you have a busy life / family, you may not be able to babysit the process so easily and should bear that in mind before buying. Anyone thinking this is a great solution for parties should also be aware that someone needs to tend to the process — and that you should probably make as much of your needed ice ahead of time.I personally always use the “Large” cube setting, fill to the Max line, and then toss the first batch or two into the sink. Once the cube-making gets acceptable, I transfer to the freezer every two cycles (or 18 cubes), and try to shake out every drop of accumulated water from the bin beforehand — because the wetter the cubes are, the more likely they are to lock into big clumps in the freezer. In summary, this Silonn Ice Maker is a fine example of the genre. I am happy overall with it, and it has certainly provided a grateful us with enough ice to get us through the weeks, etc. It’s just that the genre itself is rife with limitations that aren’t immediately apparent, so I hope this detailed review will prove helpful to others.

Great Little Ice Maker
I bought this countertop ice maker as a Father's Day Gift for my husband for his downstairs bar. It works great and makes small bullet shaped ice. It is quiet and takes less than 5 min. per batch. I would highly recommend this product and the Seller. Shipping was very quick.

Works well
This is great! I have this and the nugget ice. I like this ice bc it’s not huge and not super small. It works fast and you can keep it running. Somewhat noisey but not an issue.

Small but mighty
I bought this ice maker to put in my work office. It is PERFECT. It's quiet, makes large or small ice and does exactly what it's supposed to. Worth the money!I've been using it for over a month now and don't regret this purchase at all.

Excellent ice maker
Great product for those, like me are single, renting a place with limited space/no ice maker in the freezer and no room for bagged ice. This machine works great, I have ice all day. Ice doesn't last super long, but that is the trade-off of hollow "bullet" ice. Make sure if you buy this or any other, use only bottled or distilled water. Using tap will cause mineral build-up. Unit is quiet.

Works fast but small basket and a little noisy
Bottom line it works like it should very easy to clean out and work. Makes ice fast and being pregnant I’m really enjoying it. Con is the holding basket is small so I have to really keep on top of emptying it into our freezer, also it is rather loud. We have a wet bar in our house and that’s where it sits. Definitely not a dealbreaker considering you don’t have it running 24 seven. Our icemaker on our fridge broke so that was the main reason for getting it. Use it to fill up the ice hopper in the freezer then turn it off and when it gets low, I do another batch usually have to do it once a week. ends up taking most of the day because I’ll forget to check the basket often enough.
