The structure felt a bit all over the place, and frequent spelling and grammatical errors/repetition of words made it a bit difficult to read at times. I also felt the end chapter about Celtic influences on neopaganism felt a bit subjective and I would have liked more depth on this. Overall though a quick and informative dive into the Celts and their history and beliefs, with very useful sections on the festivals and deities.

Could be better
This book serves as a decent introduction to Celtic spirituality, covering mythology, folklore, and traditional wisdom. For beginners, it provides a good overview of key myths and practices, though it doesn’t delve very deeply into the topics, leaving some questions unanswered. The information appears accurate but can sometimes feel a bit simplified, potentially glossing over more complex or debated aspects of Celtic traditions. Additionally, the writing is accessible but somewhat dry, occasionally interrupted by minor grammar issues. Overall, it’s a good starting point, though it may not fully satisfy those looking for detailed, well-sourced exploration.

Choose a different book to learn from
I agree with another who posted ‘ The structure felt a bit all over the place, and frequent spelling and grammatical errors/repetition of words made it a bit difficult to read at times.’ Some of the geography was misstated. The overall writing came across as a scattered, rather simplistically presented high school paper. I would not recommend this book as a well researched, scholarly piece, sadly. The front cover art is beautiful, though.

Interesting but flawed
Very interesting read with much to think through. However, there are some mistakes and contradictions within its own text. Accuracy make need checking

Very flimsy.
Very basic, and I found it odd that her chapter on "Neopaganism today" omits any real coverage of modern pagan druidism given it's closer connection to the Celts heritage than Wicca . She also states that Gerald Gardner was born in 1950, which would have made him 4 years old when his book "Witchcraft Today" was published. Could really have done with an editor before being published
