works great
Very happy with this. What it does is allow your dog to wander relatively freely, which if like me you have a reactive dog stops a lot of the frustrations your dog can feel on a walk. It works well even if you don't hold the lead and allow it to trail on the ground, you can still regain control of your dog quite easily in an emergency. You may even find that when your dog is at the full 20 metre they no longer pull and understand that this is a good distance to be.The product itself does exactly what it claims to do. It's strong, lightweight and is the longest I could find on amazon. I'm very happy with it so far and has transformed dog walking on my local field. There are some 1 star reviews on here claiming that it is difficult to roll back up and tangles easily, which personally I don't understand because it's a strap so shouldn't be able to tangle unless you knot it

Great training lead - very robust!!
I am rubbish at writing reviews!! But I have to do one for this brill product! This lead has been an absolute life safer for my deaf dog Papi. After a couple of very near miss moments with Papi chasing after a hare I had to admit that we would (mostly) have to have Papi on the lead however this upset me so much as he is such a fit dog and needs his freedom to run... along comes this purple lead of joy!!!! This lead has gone through mud, snow, rain, sun, sea water, river water, corn fields, barley fields, and quite a lot of poo to be honest!!! But this thing has lasted it washes well (in a bag) and has brought me and Papi a lot of joy!! It means he can still have his freedom but we know he is safe on his long lead. I am so pleased I found this product!!!!!!!!!!!! I also use it as a training lead and Papi Ian able to Ben off the lead at certain parts of his walk now however most the time he has his trusted purple lead !!! Thank you thank you

For dogs you want to let roam, but don't trust to come back!
Does exactly what you expect it to! Veeeeeeerrry long & a bit of a pain to keep gathering up, but it stops the dog from running away so it's a small price to pay, lol!

Lead snapped on first use, 4" from harness clip
seemed very strong and sturdy, nice bright colour, good clip and handle. Used for first time today, my dog who is 24kg ran, got to end of it and bang it broke, it snapped 4 inches from her harness, I think though that mine may have been defective as it seems like really strong webbing, thankfully we werent near a road and i was able to get hold of her, im returning it and will order another to give it another chance as its a nice lead. Photo shows the snap (i looped the handle end through the clip to get her home) Will post update on replacement

Let down badly by poor quality trigger clip
I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer and user of this type of itemThis was my second attempt through Amazon to get a lead such as this, the first did not match the description.Happily this matches the description. The nylon lead material is reasonably heavy weight, not ridiculously thin and is an inch wide. The trigger clip is very poor being the smaller variety with no solid or strong spring when closing.I intend to replace that supplied with a better quality clip which will, in turn improve the capabilities of the lead many times over.Overall, it will do the job but let down badly by a very low budget trigger clip

does the job
The dog chewed half way through it within seconds, he’s a 35kg 1 year old Vizsla - so if you’re planning on tying up a chewer I wouldn’t advise it! But as a long training lead it’s great. I just tied a few knots around the chew point so there’s no pressure on the weakness. I basically just let it drag on the ground while we walk so he can use the slack and feel free. It’s easy to just coil up, I wrap it round my elbow if I need to haul it in quick. It’s full of knots from poor cabling (sorry to my sound engineers & sparkies) but it does the job and doesn’t need to look pretty. The clip has held when he has been going full pelt on harness and has stopped him in his tracks - watch your hands though, I got a friction burn, so now I just stand on it if I need to keep him steady. We’re training him and it just gives that extra ability to stop him when he’s up to no good. It’s really working and now he will return and walk to heel, plus it’s improved his stop command and recall no end - having the ability to give a physical reminder to counteract prey drive / arousal.

Improved Lily's quality of life 100%
I almost didn't buy this because of the reviews and opt for a shorter one. I have to say I am very glad I did.The clasp seems fine to me for the purpose of the lead. My dog has had her quality of life enhanced 100%.She has played in a way she couldn't before. I am using this to test her recall and trainI think it's a brilliant lead at a good price as long as you use it rightNo problems reeling it in, just took a few practices..I gather it in my hands like a lasoo and feed as much as needed. One happy pooch

Long but not very strong.
Bought for an exceptionally strong springer spaniel with a high prey drive who is prone to sudden lunging and possesses zero recall ability. Very long (which i wanted) and with a handle (which I also wanted), but it feels so flimsy and having only used it twice for no longer than twenty minutes at a time, it is already beginning to show signs of wear - the webbing is strained and stretched and beginning to fray. It also twists around on itself like no other. I honestly wouldn't trust it to hold out for much longer.
