Poor quality - Not worth the headache
After having an unreasonably difficult time trying to assemble this bike, I finally realized the front fork was bent so badly I couldn’t fit the front wheel in place. After calling mongoose for support, I was told that they no longer stock replacement forks for this bike and to return it. The only riding time this bike had was on the delivery truck, and I hope it enjoys the ride back. Very disappointed.

Best price around!!!
I found this same bike at a big name sporting goods chain store for almost double. All aluminum frame with shocks. I can’t say enough about the price this is selling for.

Beautiful bike
Beautiful bike. Arrived on time. Easy to put together. Everything worked except the ability to switch the gears on the front chainring. I'm sure it just needs to be adjusted but that's something that should be working before it leaves the factory. With that said, I love the bike (27in). I'd recommend with a caveat..

bike damaged in shipping. cost ~$150 to replace a brand new bike tire for a brand new bike
The media could not be loaded. the rear tires axel came bent straight from the box, so bad that the bike is unsafe to ride and the de-railers miss changing gears because of it. also both sets of brakes squeak terribly.Really disappointing for a ~$350 bike to be un-usable out of the box. assembly was easy and fast, but didn't matter cuz the axel is bent beyond usability.

Gorgeous Mongoose Bike...
Nice paint!! Overall, this bike's craftsmanship follows with other Mongoose mountain bikes, but I will be swapping out these OEM 'streetable' tires for a set of more aggressive, knobby, and sticky offroad tires that are more suitable for my mountain, trail, brush, loose gravel-filled, and otherwise tricky and nonpaved roads, which I encompass during my frequent MTB jaunts.
