Even heating completely nonstick, easy to clean. Follow the instructions for care of the pan and you will be very happy! I will update as time passes to see if this really holds up across time. I bought pan protectors so that the inside doesn't get scratched.

Because of the deep sides this is halfway between a skillet and a pan. The weight and the deep sides make it useful for many types of dishes. So if you don't have a lot of room to store cookware in your kitchen this pan can fill multiple roles. The finish on this pan is different than any non-stick pan I have used - it has a rough texture. But the pan is non-stick and cleans well in both the dishwasher and by hand. The transparent lid is good for keeping an eye on the contents.I don't know how important it is but I did following the instructions and season the pan by heating oil in it first.

This is a great pan! My favorite part is that the sides are extra tall, so even though this is called a skillet, it's deep enough that you could boil rice or potatoes in it if you wanted to. I usually buy packages of 3 chicken breasts, and the 10-inch nonstick skillet I usually use has very low walls and is filled to the brim when I want to fry the 3 breasts at one time. But the 3 breasts fit great in this pan, and no splattering of grease like in my other shallower skillet. This has definitely made this my new favorite skillet. Other little things I like: It's not too heavy but is heavy enough. The see-through lid has a steam vent hole. The handle is very ergonomic and easy to hold onto (same for the handle on the lid). This has become my new favorite skillet. Very pleased with it.

This is hands-down the best frying pan I've ever used. It's very similar to a cast iron skillet, but less upkeep.I love the handle on the lid as it makes it easy to remove without burning your hand. The handle on the pan also has a temperature gauge which I really appreciated.Red means it's cold, white means it's hot.so many perks to this pan including an easy pour spout on both sides which is great for draining grease or excess liquid.I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. Complete game changer in my household.

This is a fantastic pan. It’s wide enough to make anything I want in it; and it’s deep enough to make anything I need in it. I can cook steak, chicken, fish in it. Because it heats up so quickly and well, I can sear steak in this pan. Because it has a fantastic non-stick surface, I can cook delicate fish in it.I make a lot of rice dishes, but none of the nonstick skillets I have are deep enough to comfortably make rice for more than two people. The Vinchef is deep enough for me to make any rice dish, from risotto to paella — without the rice sticking — for six people.I can make all sofritos in this pan, even if I’m going to then transfer the sofrito to a stockpot full of black beans and water. I can also use the Vinchef as a wok. And yes, the Vinchef is deep enough to fry plantains in it. Or chicken, or fish sticks, or whatever suits your fancy.And let’s not forget pasta sauce. To really make pasta the way it’s made in Italy, you need to finish cooking the pasta in the sauce. The Vinchef is big enough so that I can now throw my pasta in the sauce, with a little pasta water, and finish cooking it in the bubbling sauce.I also love the two pouring spouts on the lip of the pan, and the super cute handle on the lid!

I’m sorry you took me so long to do this review, this pan deserves better, but I wanted to test it out on all the different surfaces. And I must say this is 100% unqualified success. It works on my oven, on my stove and the safe in the dishwasher. We use it for eggs and omelettes and steaks and last week we used it for a casserole. It started out as something else. The kids like it because it’s easy to clean. I like it because it’s stable and works everywhere. It’s a little heavy and I wonder how it will survive this many hands on it but I am very impressed. Definitely could make a great housewarming gift.
