Basic Bluetooth Replacement for a Stock Headunit
Can’t comment on how easy it was to fit as I paid someone else to do it. However they said that it wasn’t a straight forward plug and play and they had to make a wiring harness for it. I expect that you can probably buy one without having to do this.It’s a nice looking unit and the sound quality through stock speakers is much better than my previously fitted factory tape deck. The connection via Bluetooth is relatively simple however the usb wired connection does not work with iPhone. You can connect wirelessly and use the usb to charge but data doesn’t connect. Not a massive issue. There is a 3.5mm jack plug but with the newer iPhones this is obsolete without a lightning adapter. Phone connection is good and the added microphone ensures good call audio.The only problem I’m getting with the unit is that it keeps losing time and going back to midnight. Can’t understand why as it’s keeping the Bluetooth connections.Overall not bad as a replacement for a stock head unit with Bluetooth connectivity.
